A PBusardo Review - The Kanger ProTank

What do you think about this video?

goded03: I just ordered a provari mini v2.5. I'm a beginner and I'm not sure which tanks I should buy.. I'm not a smoker so I'll be using nicotin-free and low nicotine juices. I want to get huge vapours off of this but I dont wanna struggle with rebuildable stuff yet. Should I buy aspire nautilus? Does it really give burnt taste when you use high VG liquids? What other tanks should I buy to get big clouds and good taste? Sorry for the question bomb but I wanna order the tanks before receiving my provari. Thank you…

andrew buckner: even though they come with a "extended length " nose on the coils that come with it the standard h-2 coils with a shorter nose will also fit with no modifications

bite my vape: sorry pete!!!! called you phil in my ecblend review you are the vape king and get alot of info and advice from you!!! VAPE ON!!!!

GRiZLOC: I really love the Protank. All the way from Protank 1 to Protank 3. I love the way its so easy to change the coils on the Protank. Most people even rebuild the coils but thats something I dont. I just buy 5 coils for €6 and vape.

Tyler Boell: Do you have a video where you show how to remove the extra wick in the coils kanger uses?

Julie Bastian: Thank you for the helpful tutorials!!

BrianTheBoss16: I love you videos. Very informative and have helped me alot. With the protank and evod/t3s all use the same heads. what i do and it works great is i remove the silica wick and replace it with cotton not very hard to do, and i find it gives me a better tasting vape and more vapor. i can make the wick longer or shorter depending on the pg/vg ratio. i know i am posting this very late as they now have the protank 3 but just thought id shar this with you

SubstituteSoulReaper: Dear lord...... I prayed forty three dollars, after tax, for this at my usual smoke shop... I feel freaking robbed, man... 😟

chosadei1: $18...Geez I paid $35 and didn't even get the card with the resistances and voltages. It seems again the battery is more important than the tank, I don't get anywhere near that amount of vapor. Smok variable voltage 3.2 - 4.8

Kipp Christopher: hey how often do you have to repace the coil in the tank? if i smoke it for about 4 hours a day total?

etrain989: are those just regular candle wicks? or is it something different? are they washable/reuseable for other eliquids?

myrandom: Fixed the airflow problem....I think

mistermatsuda: Because to took out the extra wick from the head it left a gap where your tank was exposed to the wire. That's why you had all that black stuff in the tank. That wick acts almost like a filter, it needs to be there to protect your tank liquid from the coil.

Brian Amster: what battery is that?

Arthur Red: Gnurling, uhhh milling?

Arthur Red: Been vaping for a while now, and my biggest put off is how douchey people get with tweeking thier heads and nodding for no reason whatsoever while vaping...

Jon Babila: Thanks for an excellent review Phil. Just bought mines after work today and lovin it. I own the Vivi nova and iclear30 & iclear16. Guess I'll be cleaning them out and moth balling them for back up. My brother just bought me the Odyssey which I think works very well but is taking to this kanger Pro tank a little better. Ive been vaping for almost a year now (cigarette free) and have no regrets. Ive been following your reviews since I started vaping. Again thank you Bruddahjon Washington State.

terry cronin: Kanger Protank is the biggest piece of crap I've wasted money on. It leaks constantly. It will empty a full tank of juice all over you in a matter of minutes. Plus you will end up with a mouthfull of liquid. I purchased a second Kanger as I thought the first one was just faulty but the second was just as bad.I'm not new to vaping I've had many types and brands of e cigarette but the Kanger is by far the worst one you can buy. I can not understand why people are giving it such great reviews.Avoid

Jovy Macaspac: The top of my protank broke off. Had to use krazy glue to bond it to the pyrex glass.

Preston Morris: litecigusa Just picked up some from them. Pretty cheap and you get them fast

wayne toombs: I'd start at 7.5watts and adjust according to your taste

mbrooky: i've noticed that when the bottom part that is knurled holding the head/coil is on too tight it's doesn't hit...loosen it a small turn then try hitting it again

ryan wright: Mine leaked. It started not working when I messed up and thought I was unscrewing the bottom when it was actually the tank. So I switched the head. Didn't get any pull on the other head they provided. How can I fix the draw or pull on the new head?

Andrew Ames: The Kanger ProTank is way too finicky and unreliable. You have to take the top wick out so that it doesn't taste horribly burnt. However, when you do this, it floods if you aren't using a thick juice. Even if you take the top wick out and use the optimal PG/VG mix it will still start to taste burnt after a few days. So you have to wash it and dry burn the coil. If you love having to mess around with something to make it work as intended then the ProTank is for you. The ProTank is way overrated.

GRiZLOC: I really love to vape my joyetech e-liquid with my Smoktech SID on the ProTank 1 and also ProTank 2. I love the Kanger ProTanks. I highly recommend it...

Zsavage1: Great video and this is deff the tank I am getting.. must be Pyrex the plastic tanks are junk in my opinion to many leaking problems with them ... thanks again for sharing with us......... Thumbs up!!

Therionangel: I've managed to limit the air flow for the Protank on my Vamo by trimming a ring off of one of the silicone sleeves the coils arrive in and placing it around the outside of the 510 connection threads. On the Vamo, and a number of other mods, there are 4 slots cut out around the treads for airflow. The cut sleeve "ring" from the coil sleeve should sit flush to the top of these slots. The result provides a more resistant draw that provides a warmer, denser vape that's more flavorful.

Switchback Outdoors: Why remove the top wick?

Robert Mata: First off, great review, second off, what do you do for work, i notice the audio lab behind you, the record to the left and picture to the right, Post production work? Sorry, thats completely unrelated, but great video. Just bought mine and watched this to see if there was anything i needed to do before first use.

Error lVlacro: I feel like I blow back into the tank when I try

mmanda515: I covered 1 of 'em w/ my finger for a short time- then ended up just covering 2/4 of them with a tiny piece of transparent scotch-tape. Still get kind of a muted flavor compared to, say... VapeOnly BCCs or iClear 16s, which I love~ tho it's definitely MUCH better. Not to mention WAY less of an airy draw too! Sure, it's kinda just a quick rig job.. but for now, you can't see it +.... whatever works, right? =) Hope that helps.

Jovy Macaspac: The flavor wick? To increase the flow of eliquids to the coil. Decreasing the density of the wicks on the notch somehow increases eliquid flow to the coils.

Bryan Kerr: Just got one today at Goodejuice. It works great!

Jason Myers: feta cheese is the best

TheGreenCheekConure: I have the pt2. If I get a burnt or plastic taste, what does that mean?

Morpheus Maser: EVC with a code I found on a forum. 20offevic evcigarettes(dot)com/joye-evic-apv-starter-kit/

Oak Flower: i just ordered a jwrap for my vamo the finish where i put my fingers has completely come off straight brass so im getting a grey carbon fibre wrap to mach my rda, vivi nova, and eternity

Bryan Kerr: KangerTech has a Pro Tank 2 coming out. Looks pretty nice.

Andrew Ames: Smash it with a hammer then buy an iClear or cartomizer. It floods because you have to use a very thick juice if you take out the top wick. I can only get about two days of decent tasting vape out of mine as well. That's because the coil gets covered in crud very rapidly. This will probably be an issue with all BCCs. I have no idea why the ProTank is so highly rated. Maybe some people don't notice the burnt flavor or they don't mind cleaning and dry burning it every three to four days.

thedamion: Alternatively you can just pinch out the wick when it's soaked with some juice, I did that without removing the post. :D

Stevenz Relos: Will this work with the ego c twist without triggering the safety feature of it not giving the full volt charge that you want it to? ie if i wanted to use it at 4.8 will it be able to use all of the 4.8?

fabforceone: It makes me laugh every time I hear the intro of your vids...Sounds like or reminds me of the Obama Phone Lady...lol

salceci: Its ok to be a fan boy if the product stands behind you. I vape alot amd it gets very tiring having to stop what im doing take the tank apart cleaning it up making sure every thing is dry and tight before i put it back on my mod. For a month my 6month my kanger had me flooding and it was pissing me off. The pro tank 2 comes and it gurgles every time my juice gets low. Doesnt matter what vg/pg mix i use. At first it didnt do that but after a good amount of usage its wearing out. Im just over it.

Patrick Robinson: with that skirt/thread-cover it comes with it makes a really cool little handful with an ego C

Addicted2Logic: I'd like to know how the vape quality of the Kanger ProTank is different from the Kanger T3S cartomizer? Don't they use the same replaceable atomizers? Other then that, isn't it just a difference in size, looks, durability, etc? Thanks!

Bryan Kano: my understanding is that the kanger protank is constructed from more durable materials including better (not sure about specs) metal and a pyrex type glass. other it also has larger airflow due to grooves milled into the bottom.

Jovy Macaspac: The upper part of my protank (the one with the metal tip) broke off a few minutes after using it. Had to buy Krazy Glue to bond the glass and metal together again.

SS Collins: Now u no that rubber thing on the wick can u take that off or do u leave that on?

Chris Borg: Waiting for the Kanger Pro Tank 2 REVIEW Keep the Reviews coming Thanks

xyanide.wav: That sounds pretty mysterious. It probably depends on the juice that you're using because all silica wicks behave the same from what I know. I noticed that Halo juices for example clog up my coils much quicker for some reason. Try a juice with more PG in it and see how it works out. You might want to get in the head with a mini screwdriver to space the coils more evenly.
