kynobi: great vid ! Hope my issue is not with hydraulics but... I have an Exmark lazer z hp and the right steering arm is about 5" out in front of the left arm. Mower moves great and turns accordingly but the arms not being even is weird. What would be the cause and what is the remedy?
Matthew Feith: Hey Jeremy, the noise at 1:01 that the left stick is making - my YazooKees 48" ZT Max is making the same noise. Is that a pump problem, or wheel motor problem?
MnA LANDSCAPING: hey jeremy i recently picked up a 07 gravely hvz2350 zero turn when at full throttle going forward it goes real slow any advice would be great . thanks
Joey Landrum: I'm trying to change the motor on a zero turn mower, new Holland, and I can't get the pully off the motor can u tell me how to do that???
grasscutter88: Do they put bypass valves on these so you can push the unit? I don't see any on my compact pro. Also, how come they don't put a fan on both pumps?
Jared A: Hey mm1 thanks so much for the video! Great help! Where did you find the parts for this? My 32" Gravely zero turn just started spewing oil from where I believe is the wheel motor. Do I need to replace the pumps too? It has 830 hours on the motor. Is it worth paying for the parts? Thanks for your help
Lenny Vescovi: my lesco belt driven 48 in mower won't turn left
Pamela Swiss: When I engage pro it bogs down???? Otherwise runs perfect. Help please! I'm an old widow. Lol
David Nordstrom: which is likely to be damaged in pulling a heavy load to where the wheel motor is stalled? The pump runs at a constant rpm supplying hydraulic oil to the wheel motor. You would think it is a matched set and that a stalled condition is expected to survive. without damage.
Lisa King: Thanks for the video but not sure this is my problem. I have a Husqvarna CZ4817 zero turn riding mower that I just replaced the drive belt and ty-rod. It worked fine for 12 hours of mowing (4 different times).
I was mowing last night, went to use the right arm to back up and it would barely move backwards. It moves forward just fine and turns just fine. It just want back up on the right side. Left side works fine in all directions. Please ya’ll any ideas on what to look for, where do I start?
Thank you so much in advance.
Rich Robles: I have a dixon DX254.. Replacing the Pump belt that snapped so i dent get to see it installed... Does anyone have a diagram of the belt routing? Or a top down picture would do... The idler wheel does not seem to be on the same plane as the other pulleys? did something get damaged?
Marcelino Dabish: hi, I have a 2011 toro z master 3000 series with a 24 hp Kawasaki. The mower runs and cuts excellent, we changed the hydraulic oil and hydraulic filters last week. The left side turns perfect, but the right side turns terrible and there is a delay on turning right. When I turn right, it seems to be harder and puts more force on turning on the right side only. can you please help ?
bob angel: I have a scag zero turn mower and when I back up, there is a slight delay in the left wheel. Do you know what could be causing this? Any info will help. Thank you
Patrick Kanatzer: Do you have any vids on the pump and wheel motors for a 2009 grasshopper 725D?
E Morer: Very informative video. I am hoping that this is not what I have to do. My Husqvarna zero turn recently had the idler pulley break. I disengaged the freewheel so I could tow it home. After getting the pulley put on, and re engaging the freewheel, the mower went very slow. After troubleshooting, I determined there was air in the line. After purging the transmission several times, it ran fast again. Only to discover that my right hand turns are very slow when I use the left lever. When I push the left handle (which turns it right) all the way forward I slow down. I have even purged just the left side hoping that would fix it but it didn't. I ended up cutting using left hand turns more often to get the job done. Can you tell me if you think it is this motor? Thanks, Erica
Bryan Henson: Hey I have a 2006 Dixon Kodiac w about 650 hours. Just started having problems with the right wheel getting weaker than the left wheel. How can you diagnose whether it is the hydraulic pump going bad or the wheel motor?
Junior Hall: Question for a mower expert: I have a scag wildcat with play in the left stick. The left side also goes slower than the right and tends to lock up the wheel when pulling back on left stick. Pump or wheel motor?
Thomas Maslanka Jr.: great video jeremy thank you. I have a GRAVELY ZT 1540 WITH A 17.5 HP KOHLER that has locked up. taken off the head and the top case to inspect lower drivetrain and piston top and cylinder wall. No broken parts or scoring of cylinder wall . all that is left is the crankshaft or rings right? could the hydraulics keep me from turning over the engine? thanks tom from KC.
Chris Fair: I just bought a new hydraulic pump and had my wheel motor rebuilt for the left side of my Ferris. Since the pump and motor does not have any oil in it, do I put some oil in them or do I just install them dry?
johnny lonesome: it the pump or the wheel motor that causes the jerking, have two gravely zero turn mowers and both of them the left side jerks and now have almost completely stopped all together, what the heck, please help if you can, which is it. do I need to replace both or can I rebuild the pump. just not know which is the problem.
Chef de NYC: Thanks! I'm more info ultrasound type of work. I learn most of the stuff myself online. Just only recently start looking for a school to make things "official". Hehe
