Jarod Morris: What part of Kansas? I grew up in Minneapolis, just north of Salina.
DeathOn ThePrairie: good lord, spend 20 bucks and buy a decent bag. this is garbage
justliketolook: You can use a portable table top saw holder like ' Skil Portable Work Station" for $50 and what it allows you to do is open the top up till your block of wood fits into the opening, then you just tighten the built in adjustment clamps against wood . they also make portable work benches like the one I have that you put pegs in the holes on the adjustable table top and tighten your block of wood on it. so your bench can be used for work or a gun rest base .It folds and easy to take with you .
Dalton Conaway: uummm.. the video said shooting a homemade gun not making a rifle rest
phantomshtter: LOL could have just rested it on the railing if you wanted to sit down. :P
GunsKnivesSurvival: @anestis1971 Thanks, I appreciate it!
VeeTheAmazingGreek: Only a suggestion, but maybe carry a couple of C clamps to secure it to the bench. Awesome that you could stand and use it. I will be subscribing. You have some good vids.
GunsKnivesSurvival: @huttwigley2 Thanks Hutt, I think it will work out fine with a few minor adjustments.
Hutt Wigley: It is cool that you could adjust it to shoot from a standing position though! That's some good versatility!
GunsKnivesSurvival: @henrycems Good point. I think i'm going to wait and see how it behaves from a seated position, it should have a lower center of gravity. If it still wobbles, I might go with the wider base. Thanks bud!
henrycems: Cool idea I like it I do have a bit of advice if you but those rubber feet on like you see on furniture I would go with a little wider base board maybe by about 2 inches I think it would be more stable because the jack being heavy it looks a little top heavy in the video.
Just a thought but it is a cool idea I got to look around for an old jack thanks.
GunsKnivesSurvival: @TheCanadianKnifeGuru Thank you Sir!
GunsKnivesSurvival: @Lookinformemarbles Thanks! I think I can still fine tune this a little.
Lookinformemarbles: always dig what people turn junk into!! thumbs up!!
GunsKnivesSurvival: @awomansworld123 Right on, let me know how that works out.
awomansworld123: LOL, nothing beats a fail but a try. This gives me a great idea on how to make one for myself. I have an older 5inch tall camera tripod I no longer use. It might just be a great substitute for a rifle rest with a pad on top. We'll see.
ThexFatxMarathoner: @GunsKnivesSurvival LOL man!
GunsKnivesSurvival: @ThexFatxMarathoner I knew I was forgetting something!
ThexFatxMarathoner: Great ingenuity.....
Wait a second, where the hell is the duct tape, it isn't good engineering without duct tape =P
