coffcraft: That's what I love about youtube. Guys like you sharing some GREAT ideas
and information. Thanks.
El Sarcastico: build me one ill pay you!
enscribe: Great idea with the pipe cutter. Did you epoxy it in or does the rolled
edge and tight fit keep it secure enough?
virgilsguidance: Is there anyway you would consider making one of these for me?
ftrblkblt02: Hey bud, thanks for making this, I went ahead and gave it a shot and so far
most everything seems to be pretty good. Haven't shot with this setup yet.
I do have a problem though, my stock pardner spring doesn't have enough
tension to push out the last round. I've tried stuffing some paper towels
into the retainer and spring holder to create more tension: still was able
to hold 7+1 but that last round won't come completely out of the tube, just
shoots out halfway. Any ideas? Thanks again.
Ken Miller: Going to have to up my capacity for certain.
Cooper: Because thats just +1. This mod gives you +2.
ss4ludwig: I agree with HusseinKader. Id pay to have someone fabricate the extension
for me. Chico, would you be intetested?
Cooper: Have you tried it? Removing the spring holder from the H&R Pardner. Does
the gun still fire/function the same?
butt head: You dont have to cut down the extension if you use the Remington 870 12 ga
Tactical Choke Tube.It will line up perfect.Yes this gun doesnt have
threads but Brownells makes a choke adapter for $22 that just needs to be
silver soldered in.
ZA_Survivalist: ^what he said. You could make some serious money brother.
ss4ludwig: @vettelover2009 Where would one procure this +1 cap of which you speak?
vettelover2009: why not just get a +1 cap then if it fits the same threads as a 870?
ElBrisho: Oilspill can you give more info on that extension?
Jacob Gunner: No. Target loads, 2 3/4" 3 dram 1 1/8 ounce 7 1/2 shot. I felt it the next
day. But no it shoots very well.
Daniel Buchanan: Where do u buy the tube extension??
BSmithCharles: They make one shot extensions...
pointman2471: Cool, good job
Jacob Gunner: YES!!! works just fine. I went skeet shooting 3 days ago and put 250 rounds
through it like that. NO problems. Just makes me go through ammo faster. No
feeding issuses or anything. I still put it all back in and the plug for
shooting now. I can't afford to go through ammo that fast.
Josh Aguilar: awesome vid. bought one 2 days ago @ big 5 for super cheap. did not know
what the long plug was for....now i know...and now its out lol!! taking it
out to the range for the first time this weekend. im interested in putting
on a +1 mag extension.
Jordan Jay: Do you get a lot of cheek slap?
Chico&Zeus: @enscribe Because I sanded the washer and plastic down to the exact inside
diameter of the tube (0.920")... I actually had to use a rubber mallet and
a wooden dowel to push it down the tube. It is very tight and will not fall
out. On the other side where the tubing cutter edge was rolled in the
inside diameter of the cut is 0.840") so there is no chance of the washer
or plastic falling out that end.
Jacob Gunner: Thank you.
HOPPINBOB88: I have the long barreled version of the pardner pump will I have to cut and
modify or will I be good to go with just screwing it on and going with that
BigAgitator: yeah, i'd like to know if he can get 7+1 of 3" shells with his extension
oilspill57: Choate sells an extension with a cap - remove it, cut the extension flush
with the end of the barrel, reinstall cap. Done! It's a lot easier. Also
comes with a new spring - all for $43 @ Midway.
Ridomay: Love it. I was going to do the same thing to make a 6+1 but you just showed
how to do a 7+1 with the same method. I will assume that with 3" shells it
will still be a 6+1 which is what worried me about spending the effort and
cash to try to make a 6+1 but would still be a 5+1 with 3" shells. Looks
like getting rid of the plastic end piece is the key.
Jordan Jay: How do you feel about that knoxx stock?
Cmoth040: Wilson Combat / Scattergun Tech also make a +2 extension. Both are sold at
some of the more popular online discount parts websites, you know the ones
that are cheaper than dirt can be. ;)
BigAgitator: no, you wouldn't
Russell Self: A lot of folks are asking if you build these to sale. Give it thought. I
would pay for one.
prc77509: please don't tell me that you have a ATI heat shield with grs
Florida40cal: that stock doesn't look like it fits the gun....... is that gap normal?
zippo9211989: shooter dvd lol, i got a vanity mirrior on my side view (duct tape), its
passed inspection for 5 years
Hussain Kader: Ever consider selling the modified extensions for those of us that are not
machining inclined? There is definitely a market for them!
Chico&Zeus: @newmamba59 It can easily be cut with a dremel but you wouldn't have the
rolled edge to retain the plug that I fabricated... you would have to come
up with a new design to hold the plug and spring in.
Adam Murphy: Can you tell me what Stock that is you have installed in this video and
where you got it? Thanks,
ThatDudeSirraj: Hey cool vid, and very good explination. Are there some models of extension
tubes that wont thread properly? I think I am going to do this for my short
barrel pardner and and probably my 28" also(great skeet shooter). Just
wanted to know if I can use any extension of if i should avoid some models.
mysammy1107: good suggestion
Austin Kersey: if you had the 28" barrel, would you still have to mod the extension
Cam Kuhn: I'm having trouble deciding if I should buy the ATI extension for this mod,
or if I should spend twice as much on the Remington one ( which includes a
clamp and sling attachment).
qssneaky: I call BS. Arm would not be attached to shoulder if you shot 250 rounds
through the Pardner in one day.
billy dees: Awesome Dude I bought a 870 original extension.I thought I was screwed then
you saved the day.Thanks
Joshua Sidell: Do you recommend the heat shield with the sights or do the sights not help,
go7roo7: Part # for the ext tube?
BigAgitator: I just did this- it works, but only with 2 3/4 shells. 3" shells, you still
only get 5
BrianS1970: If it stuck out 2.5 inches past the barrel, would it receive any dammage
from shot spreading out that quickly, or would it just get a little dirty?
Would look a little weird, but might it work like that?
MRxhalemotorsports1: Or you could just buy a complete mag ext. made for the pardner protector.
silas Sugar: what kind of sights does tht have?
Chico&Zeus: @theme57 The sights are just cheap plastic held on by a single screw... so
not the greatest but they do work on a shotgun. I would say better than
just the bead that my gun came with but there are obviously better sights
