Norm Vigas: How much more powerful and acurate is the carbine version if the pistol, as it has the 18 inch barrel the slug should be travelling faster?
Steven S.: Don't get me wrong, because an Open Top Colt is as sexy as a firearm gets. But they can have some inherent problems that are generally dissolved by the Remingtons. I think the 1858 Revolving Carbine is a fine, fine firearm and I plan to order one in the next couple of weeks and compliment it with the 1858 Revolver. With that said, my most beloved gun ever, of all time, was my 1860 Colt, Richards-Mason Conversion in 45 Colt. The choice is tough.
kiryu2000: I'm thinking either this or one of the 1862 Pocket Models. Anyone got a suggestion?
