How To Hook Up A N64 To A Flat Screen Tv (LCD, Plasma, LED, HD TV)

What do you think about this video?

ScoutTrooper164: I have an Insignia flat screen TV, and the positions to put the cable inputs are on the back. Do you think that mine will work. Where do I put the wires? I have Red, white blue, and 3 more.

aleckermit: The answer is: Don't

Jmh17: Cheers buddy, just wanted to double check before i bought one.

Kaite Sims: it still didnt come on

quizno398: Mines black and white why

Bernie McComiskey: YESS!! My N64 lives

Jean Paul Bigio: I got my N64 from my cousin who said that it worked. I hooked it up to my Samsung tv (which is an old plasma tv that my mom got in 2007) I didn't have a controller for it at the time. So when I turned it on it the image was black except for the words Controller Needed. So I knew that it worked. Now, I finally get the controller as well as Turok dinosaur hunter and now I don't get an image, it just says no signal.

Ricky Rozya: My tv still says no signal it turns on but i get no sound or video on my tv i got compenet and av

CheatsythePimp2: I have an Insignia TV and the Radioshack N64 plug (That connects cable and into TV). Not 100% sure on how to set it up. I was wondering if you would have any idea.

Colonel Sanders: i did that and it is showing in black and white

C B G Swan: What cable is that!? I just have an antena cable

Ali Blue: Took 3 hours but I finally got it :D But sadly I have 2 hours until I go to school ;_;

Bigbooster126: directions unclear. accidentally shot my grandma.

Trevyn Garris: Thank you this helped so much i was trying top hook up my n64 to my 80inch and with your help it worked thank you the only proble my controller wire too short lol

Siggy -J: I couldn't figure out how to plug mine up to the new tv, so i got pissed and searched "How to plug up a n64 to a flat screen tv." This video came up.... I have it working now and I just want to say thank you lol!

Adam Bergstrom: Min tv is hanging on to the wall so I can't for the love of god get those thick cables to stay on... There is no space, and I can't take down the tv cause there is no space on my desktop...:(

Steph Brennan: This video did nothing.

Don Van Der Velde: Mine is black and white :( Help!!!

sandy w: Thanks , awesome . on my flat screen input menu I only have video not comp/video , does it make a difference?

LoxAndLoads: You legend! THANKS!

nathan russell: I thought my Zelda OOT would never work again thank you :D

Jean Paul Bigio: And yes I just tried what the video said......the results were disappointing to say the least.

Ryan Johnson: My N64 doesn't have video and audio cables. Do you have the N64's cable hooked up to an RF adaptor? Anyone?

haley kellam: I have an Emerson TV with different color cables it won't work help please!

Bev Hill-Garrett: It took a while ...so many different red, white and muti colored places to plug in adapter, finally saw the ones on the back, underneath....for AV1....working great...time for StarFox!!!!!!

adam giannetto: Everyone should know that you will have colour issues and the games don't look as good on a lcd tv. They are washed out and pixilated. For the people who are not getting a signal try taking the game out and blowing in it then put it back in and try again.

boskie165: I have a Toshiba 39" LED and it says "Unsupported Signal"

RumbleGear: Yes, but how do you make it look good on a 40 in?

TEKNO640: YOU freakING IDOT!!!! yea... so easy isnt it...with SPECIALIST CABLES... the stock N64 doesn't come with those cables, it comes with a friggin antenna port. so completely helps in this situation. and my TV has ports for everything BUT the antenna. it even has SCART but nobody makes those anymore.

chris archie: everything is in black and white lol

Don Van Der Velde: Mine is black and white :( Help!!!

Life-Row-Toll: One would do the same thing in the 80's. The real issue is, why is my N64 not able to run on an HDTV?

GreatElectronics: I hope we can resolve the issue together. lets continue this via youtube messages. I would like you to send me pictures of the issue so i can get a better feeling of what the issue is.

Luke Beauchamp: The correct way to hook up an N64 to a flat panel is to get your N64 RGB modded and then hook it up to the SCART input. If you don't have SCART you can use a SCART to HDMI adapter. Don't use a SCART to component adapter because most flat panels won't take 240P over component even if they do over composite.

GreatElectronics: Okay im seeing a trend here. My guess is that dynex isn't compatible with the N64. Sorry.

Larry sulejmani: thanks it wored

Meubi: doesn't work for me

JRRacing64: You can't use Yellow/red/whites with Green/Blue/Red. You need a TV with Av cable connections....

pinkyy3: I have tried plugging it in this way and also using the plug ins on the side, the red white and yellow ones with my newer RCA tv and I get nothing :( help plz

SquidWong: it works

GreatElectronics: @SpookyNoob Oh really? Ill have to look into it. thanks for letting me know!

pow3rstrik3: my tv only has 1 av cable what to do

Alex Rodriguez: Can u help

yoyoyoshio267: i did this with my n64 to my samsung 32 inch lcd tv and i got birlliant sound and picture but it was in black and white please help!

jai2ktballer: yeah, i ahve the original non colored cords with the n64 ( ithink someone called them aerial cords or something). anyways, theres no place to plug it in the tv, there arent any slots either. my n64 still works with the really old tv with that slot, so its not the n64. thanks

Delia Mejia: I did the same thing but it only turned out gray, do u know what the problem is, if u do? Will u tell me please?

nubaselinehero: why have you made this video. I know where the leads go!!

GreatElectronics: Yellow--- >Blue or green Red--->Red White->White

rmariokartmaster: Dose it work with all flat screen Tv's?
