Shantele Feitknecht: I had this problem too. This is what worked for me: I went to settings and made sure that my date and time were on "Set Automatically". Then I turned off IMessage and FaceTime. I turned off my device and restarted. Then I logged into IMessage and FaceTime. Everything works well now.

Paris Paraskeva: Guys i have an iphone 5s (8.1.3)and i had the same problem.....i dont know exactly what that problem is but i just turned off wifi ....and then it worked.....i dont know if wifi was the problem....i think that is an issue for just a while and then u can send messages again
