skerray565: Thanks, You did the clearest instruction of the finish that I've seen. Good
fireflite34: I was taught to wrap the serving in the same direction as the twist in the
bow string. Is there a right or wrong direction to wrap serving or just a
matter of preference?
David Robson: Awsome thanks so much mate shoot a cross bow and for ever blowing out
center serving. This was by far the best tutorial ive found well done.
Phalucrouz: Thx for the very good vid.
Stephen Duda: Do you find its ok to reserve under the pressure of the limbs? I have heard
it needs to be done under 300 lbs of tension
Tactical Priority: nice video! it only took me like 5 years to figure this out on my own!!!!
Ticatthehunter: What do you do if you haven´t got a winder? Is it OK to do it without?
HuntingResource: @fireflite34 I have seen center servings wrapped with and against the twist
of the string from various top notch string manufacturers. There are
different schools of thought as to which is best. Obviously, not everyone
agrees. Personally, when replacing a serving, I have always just matched
what came off of the particular string I'm working with unless the shooter
claimed to be having problems. When building new, I would just stick with
what you are comfortable doing.
HuntingResource: I've never had a problem with replacing a center serving under limb
tension. (Especially on a "broken in" string.) Generally, top string
manufacturers will serve under that sort of force when building a new
string. About the only time I have actually used a string jig to increase
tension is on replacement end servings that will be subjected to rolling
over hard cam lobes.
HuntingResource: @Ticatthehunter You can. But, for a full center serving it will take a lot
longer and probably not be as uniform or tight. You can buy a serving jig
for as little as five bucks I've seen. Well worth having.
usernamemykel: Isn't the winder the Bohning Serve Tite?
Chirimorin1: great video! I need to re-serve my bow as the current serving has worn out.
This video showed everything with clear instructions!
ridge084: Perfect, thanks.
Ticatthehunter: thx ;)
jwrigley: thanks for the video. It's been years since I've done a serving and I found
this great as a refresher.
Denis Zemljič: Thanks!! this is the best vid for serving a bowstrng.
mtnbowmaker: Awesome! thank you so much for your very well explained video. I am a new
bowyer and want to make my own strings to go with them. I have been
struggling with the serving, but feel confident now since watching this.
1019drummer: very awsome thanks.
HuntingResource: Yes. The serving tool being used in this video is a Bohning Serve-Tite
loaded with BCY #62XS .021" diameter braided thread.
Denis Zemljič: best vid on how to serve a bowstring I ever saw
DYAC: My friend's business did extremely well with adwords. He basically pay google to put his promotion ads on varies websites and the conversion rate is really high. I guess it helps since he sells gag/prank gifts and his ads get display on funny autocorrect websites. He wouldn't tell me the exact amount, but I'm estimating it is near the mid 6-figure salary. No risk no rewards I guess.
