Wendy Kuzniar: love this. I think I will try this,
Transitdolly Dawn: great idea and great solution your a smart cookie ;) those are my
favorite color. only thing I would have alternated the color ribbon :purple
on white and white on purple. Beautiful Job
Dawn K: You did a really good job! I probably would have used gorilla glue or crazy
glue to keep the ends secured. I think it's cool when others come up with a
solution that doesn't break the bank!
Transitdolly Dawn: sorry ( you're)
sansom40: It's pipe insulation. ..not a fabric material. I would question the safety
of this as the child ages. I would consider choking Hazzard because they
can bite pieces off and get choked. Just saying I wouldn't have this for
Julie Kendall: What is the width of the panels cut for each bumper?
Darci Moore: I can see my son eating this up :(
Debbie Donald: I would be curious on the cost as well. I know here flannel is about 6.99
to 9.99 a yard. How much did it take? I wonder if you could use those
noodles that you float with in the pool? I also wonder about safety issues.
Katrina Quick: This is a great tutorial. Thanks so much.
neuspeedvw: Cute....but SOOOOO many safety hazards :(
Delina Elena: Please please help me out on how much fabric is needed??? I have the same
kelly crivello: This is awsome!! My hubby will love this, he calls bumpers death traps haha
This makes this mommy to be so happy!
jordsie21: Hi! I love this idea, and was just wondering how these bumpers held up as
your baby got older? Did you run into any issues with them? My little one
is expected to arrive in a couple months so I am trying to decide what my
best course of action is! :)
Andrea Hackney: What was you total cost on this?
Melissa Dawdy: What was the actual width of your crib slats? I notice int he video you
said you bought the 1 1/8 pipe covers (take note they fit 1" pipe as said
on box) My slats are 1 1/2 inch... just wondering if this will work...
kikillov3: i like this idea but how much did u spend on the foamy thing and i was
thinking u can also make it for the top part as well so they dont try to
chew of the crib my son did that to his crib but now i got an inea thanks !
courtney hardy: OMG love it i'm adding it to my favorites. Thanks Allison just one question
what is Mod Podge is it Glue what we in NZ call PVA glue white glue that
turns clear when dry?
natalie4tino: This is amazing. I had this idea last night but discovered that it was
already invented. However I never thought of pipe insulation!! Way to think
outside the box. :)
gunel storey: this is so cool going to make some, thanks for sharing
sammysmom2010: very cool. if I had the money I would defantly want to do that but with
pooh bear cloth.
Allison's Journey: @kardancer1 We had ribbons on our older daughters crib and she never
touched them. But, you could try using double sided tape to finish, rather
latreka johnson: that is hella cute! creativityI neva whould have thought of this!!! awesome!
HappieMommy: Great idea!!! Thanks for sharing!
Jennifer Hester: I love this idea!
MrsProulx215: This is really cute and a great alternative to making a standard bumper.
Thank you so much for sharing this!!!
Allison's Journey: @alairasmommy Your welcome!
mommyof22010: Thanks so much for posting this video!! I plan on doing our babies nursery
myself (if its a girl, DH fell in love with a pirate set for a boy lol) and
this video is amazing!! I can't wait to start on the set I am going to make
Jo mitchell: that is sooooo cute!!!! any suggestions for boys instead of bows?
Allison's Journey: @twobabyboyz About 80 dollars.
Sara89Ann: Amazing idea. Ima so do this for my little girl!!
Allison's Journey: @jo38me Thanks! Someone suggested using double sided tape to finish the
ends... so that might work :)
Suzi Wollman: Gorgeous. The only thing I would change is put white ribbon on purple
bumper, and vice versa.
Chelsea Rasmussen: Thank you so much for posting this! I have been trying to figure out a way
to make these : )
Chelsea Rasmussen: Thank you for posting this! I have been trying to figure out a way to make
these and you solved it : ) where did you buy the pipe insulation?
OurBittersweetLife: This is way cuter than the typical bumper and so much safer. I will
definitely have to either make these or buy them when we decide to have our
next baby!! =)
Yj Cross: pretty!
awakeafter12: thnkyou for posting this. After standing over my little one & watched him
repeatedly slam his hands uncontrollably into the rails. I went to a
hobbystore & got material (foam etc) for sewing a crib bumper. THEN googled
how to sew it (something i should have done in the 1st place) & saw ALL the
warnings from pediatric folks about dangers of suffocation. Then on a forum
someone recommended the 'wonder bumper' but the price was , um ... yeah...
NO! Then i found this video...OMG! Love it! Thank you
Jennlewis16: How did you cut them? Did scissors work?
ljs66bug: Awesome!! thanx!!! :)
Allison's Journey: @pregovlog Thanks :)
Allison's Journey: @LauraBellaX Thank you :)
Mommytime: How did the bumpers hold up over time?
Vicky Bonilla: I would be weary of any chemical exposure from the pipe insulation, do you
know if these are lead or chemical free?
Allison's Journey: @jselfallen We got ours at Home Depot, but I'm not sure if they have 2".
Have you tried looking online? Or asking Home Depot if they can order it?
twobabyboyz: How much did they cost in total?
jselfallen: I've tried everywhere and can't find it. Not sure how much you paid for
your foam insulation but the stores don't sell the 2". Do you have any
suggestions for 2" foam.
LauraBellaX .: great job! it looks just gorgeous xx
azri mom: omg i love this!!!!!! thank you soooooo much for this video.
Nita .Poole: I would worry about using "Wire" Ribbon - the wire can come through the
ribbon. Since you would only need to stitch the ones on the front I would
suggest sewing them in place and use regular ribbon as decoration. Love
kardancer1: Adorable! I would be nervous about the baby pulling of the ribbon? How
could you prevent it?
