06CHEVYDURAMAX: I have a issue with my 2003 sportsman 700. it cranks and if i spray brake
cleaner in the carb it will run for 10 seconds then die! it has a new fuel
tank thats full of fresh fuel. Fuel pump maybe??

briansmobile1: Resistance and check for open circuit.
briansmobile1: Check the solenoid near the battery- if Ok check the circuit breakers up
front under that panel below the headlight.
ezzyeggy: Do you have a vid on fixing a 2002 (that style) polaris 500 hub that seems
to engage on its own. I have it tore down and seems really clean. Im gonna
start with fresh fluid and see what happens..

cord cover. like if it had a gasket. does yours have it???
briansmobile1: No gas? Could be a restriction. Try by-passing the air fuel system with
some starting fluid. Timing is set on a chain and by the CDI box. They
typically don't go bad. Usually the stator or ignitor go bad on these or
the piston rings fail.
luvthesnow: Nice vid. Perfect timing as well. I'm working on an old Xplorer 400 and
have to do the same thing. Where did you buy the pickup, or trigger coil? I
noticed you cut the leads up close to the old one. How long are the leads
on the replacement? Also, do you need to keep the finished length the same
(as far as fitment goes, no extra wire drooping about)?

briansmobile1: Do a compression test. The piston rings may be worn (common on 2 strokes).
You have to have timing, air/fuel, compression, spark to run.
randell bryant: verry nice of you i have a polaris 400 4x4 automatic 2 stroke it was
running fine just shut off n now it gets firer and gas but will not stare
,,any ideals ? i am a singel dad my 2 kids are driveing me insaine lol love

Riding the other night, smelled burnung plastic/smell light then started to
flicker along with the speedo and tail lights then failed. I think its a
stator issue, do u have the specs to test it out or any other ideas what it
might be. the wheeler did not stall out, and ran two miles dark to home.

in my Gokart And it spits and Sputters a whole bunch and I fixed the
pitting and Sputtering but Adjusting the Cam Shaft one tooth Back and now
its got Tons more power and Runs Great, id think it would run Best with the
Cam EXACT right? Im not sure what is the issue..

briansmobile1: @luvthesnow The best place to get them if they have the one you need in
stock for Polaris..... is RMstator out of Canada. As for length I recommend
lengthening the trigger coil wire a bit so you can route it better. This
one was too tight and was getting chaffed harder than a nekid horseman
running from the Mexican Federal Policias through Guadalajara in August.
Brandon Williams: I already replaced the stater CPU and igniter? I get full power to my
lights and everything else.
briansmobile1: I'd try replacing the plug. Those 2 strokes can have spark, but not start
if the plug isn't up to snuff. Try that first.
Summer Perez: brandon i have an 01 sportsman 500 with the same prob. cranks over fine
lights all work but no spark while cranking...when i click the start button
to the off position i get one bright healthy spark...(but none while
cranking) did you find a fix..i have not yet taken it apart.thanks,..Mike,

briansmobile1: It's most likely a bad ignitor (showed in video) It's that little box that
sits at 9 o'clock to the stator.

indepth in how to repair things. I want to get my ASE Master Tech Cert a
lot of work but it will be worth it
briansmobile1: A person can be bleeding, but not be dead. A stator can have gunk and not
be bad. However if you see a dead person, and they are covered in blood,
you might posture that the bleeding had something to do with their demise.

of firer n comp is 125 geting gas not even a hint at all someone said the
CD box is bad idk i call it a computer lol
briansmobile1: Get a power probe or circuit tester and a wire diagram or take it to
someone with some training. Probable you have a bad connection at the
battery about the back left wheel or a corroded connection at a circuit
breaker (looks like a square tape ball) in front under the hood cover-
under/behind the front rack.
Jackye Freeze: I have a Polaris Xplorer 300 (not sure what year but it looks just like the
1996 models I've seen). I bought it used about six years ago and it has
served me well. I just went through a divorce and it has been sitting
unused for at least 9 months. I had drained the fuel so I've put fresh gas
and oil and went to change the spark plug and even though I've done it in
the past, for the life of me, I can't find the crazy thing. Can't find any
videos that show where it is, can you help?
