Go to Config -> Advanced -> then check Enable CPU Clock Override 3. Lower it from 100% to 50% or lower (depends on the game, lower it for better FPS) 4. Done. Hope this helps! :D
Kashif Ford: Is the voice I pick up.. Keep it up man. good vid
FutureGaming3000: Guys seriously, if you want a VERY significant boost in performence, download one of the latest 'dev build' versions. Dolphin 4.0 is nearly 2 years old now and the latest dev versions have improved performence a ton.
Here some examples for me - F-Zero ran at 15-30fps on Dolphin 4.0, it now runs at 40-60fps with 50+fps being the average. perfectly playable.
Mario Kart ran at a good 45-60fps on 4.0, it now runs at a locked 60fps.
SanFrancisco Rush (Midway arcade 3) ran at a terrible 15-25fps, it now runs at 50-60fps with perfect speed even when dropping frames.
I haven't tried any other games yet but i see no reason why all games wouldn't be significantly improved.
My PC specs -
Quad core 2.4ghz 6gb ram Geforce GTX 750
Forget these crappy programs and download a newer dev build, i think you will be pleasantly surprised guys.
I hope that helps some of you.

SmashFan03: will a AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 260u Processor 1.80 GHz work?it has 4.00 ram.
TooCool334: Dolphin only runs at full speed if you have 3.00 GHz and higher
Louie Lee: Okay, I have an AMD A8-4555M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics with 1.60 GHz, and 4 Gigs of Ram. Is this even good enough? I can play some quality games good if I lower the settings. Now when it comes to the Dolphin Emulator, I can run Melee pretty good, but the audio is choppy and it starts lagging once 4 players come into play. With Brawl, the menu runs fine, and it's sort of laggy with 2 players on the screen. Any suggestions? I have Dolphin 4.0-1796 by the way. :)
Diego Plays: Will this work This is my Specs CPU: AMD Athlon LE-1600 GPU: Nvidia Geforce 6150 SE nForce 430 RAM: 2GB OS: Win 7 (32 Bit) DirectX:10
Cindy Lim: wow. My emulater speed 300+++ but my control pad have problem how to fix it
Thunderbird Shane: Ok guys got a new computer and running 3.5 now. I guess the reason I left this 1 is apparently older versions of dolphin work better for older PCs and laptops on the lower end. So I'll do a post for 3.5 soon
jared savoy: Thx this worked 4 me.
GlitchMasterCheat: Gaybooster is a lie. It doesn't do anything, it makes it slower actually
