ZerOReality VC: 1:51 "ill take marshmallow and ill shuv it down that hole".
Nilopollis: why are we trapping raccoons? what the hell is wrong with people? If a
rabid animal wanders into civilization...shoot it. If not...leave them the
Robert Van Meter: anything that is stinky , sweet , or salty will attract a coon I use a
dowel rod 2-3 in thick by 5 foot long knock a animal out or drown at a safe
threeby8887: @billawill I couldn't agree with you more. I'm content to trap and then
relocate raccoons and other wild animals on my property. But if the animal
come after me or my loved ones, then that animal has just made a fatal
mistake. I'm shooting it immediately. My family and pet come first.
kwarnisplayer: Cheaper at pcsoutdoorsdotcom or fntpostdotcom. Sterling Grizz dog proof
trap...pull only trigger. Coon Dagger dog proof trap...push/pull trigger.
PCSOutdoors has a YouTube channel with video info on both traps.
Paul Leduc: I guess this is an option if you live in the wild country. But in the city,
you cannot use one of these if the only option is to take a firearm and
shoot it, because discharging a firemarm in urban areas is prohibited.. at
least in Canada it is. Better to get a standard cage trap, bait with
peanuts in the shell (so you won't trap neighbourhood cats) and then
release it in the country outside city bounds. However, even that may be
prohibited in some cities.
DixieEntertainment12: nah go out there with a 2x4 or a mashettie... that will get er done... i
have caught many a coon with the lil grizz getrz
Harrison Gage: @Scrap5000 lol yes
trapperboy100: a racoon will only chew its foot off if left in the trap to long.and its
because there foot goes numb and they cant tell they are chewing on their
own foot they think they are biting the trap.but like i said that can all
be prevented if you check your traps at least once every 24 hours
massconn99: Thanks :]
johndeeremaster: @l31101210 no, it simply restrains the animal
AchievementWizard: i think raccoon's took one of my 2 month year old cat and i want to get rid
of that problem so it doesnt happen to my other one can i use a small pest
control bb gun with led pellets to get rid of them, i might jst set up a
nasty meat smelly trap and shoot them when they come near.
brendenwatts12: were can i get these cheap
Nilopollis: Oh god, not TWO CHICKENS! You could just make your chicken coop harder to
get into. Or you could spend less time worrying about chickens and more
time learning how to put a sentence together.
logan walter: Do u have a live trap video? If so what is it call.... I'm not sure on were
to put my bait because they steal it out of the side of mine
TJ41238: a coon will not chew his foot off if caught in a foothold the only way a
coon gets his foot off is if he is caught in a foothold for a larger animal
like catching a coon in a #3 foothold the springs are so strong they could
pinch the coons foot off if he fights the trap hard
Sam Wright: @mrceebees14 Hi I am glad some one asked nicely. You have to trap to keep
animal populations in check. With out hunting and trapping you would see
alot more dead animals on the roads and sick rabid animals.
indianaboy41: hey sir or maam. trapping is ilegal anywhere if you dont have a license,
box trap or leg hold, got to have it, and there only certain time of the
year you can do it, hope you never get caught.
Donald Thompson: Go away.
tsv999: did u even watch the video? retard
Clark Magnuson: I get the impression he knows what he is talking about.
crossvain12: I believe the point of the trap is for survival situations...... that
doesn't exactly mean someone won't use it for other reasons
kwarnisplayer: Just the stake, then twist a 1/4 turn.
DixieEntertainment12: yes but in my opinion it is a lot more effecttive i have gotten a chance to
use both and prefer the griz getrz
gloryboundkev: That stake is in there and he can't pull it out. But if he does pull it
anaeick2: Ate 4 of my chickens the last night, we love our chickens, and he came and
terrorized the coop, hurt my cat so bad weeks ago, that we almost had to
amputate his leg. I hate raccoon, For many times, we just chased him, It`s
a God creation, and for many times I ask myself If kill him is right, but
he is always back, and every time causing more damage, they are evil, I
want kill him myself, one single shot in a head, I want watch that monster
died, like he did with my babies.
DixieEntertainment12: a live trap costs about 60 ro 75 bucks a grizz getrz costs 25... if your
going to kill it anyways go with the cheap route
alcoopextensionvideo: I31101210: I checked with Dana, the Wildlife Officer on the video and he
assured me that the trap does not kill the raccoon. However, using this
trap does mean that you will likely come upon a live, possibly rabid, and
very angry animal when you go back to check the trap. He said be prepared
to humanely euthanize the raccoon. -alcoopextensionvideo
oakland002: Nice traps, I've seen these on EBay goes for about plus or minus 20 dollars
TheJeepster123: Scumbag how would u like if someone stuck your arm in the trap for a few
days stick a dollar bill in the tube for bait sounds like your dumb enough
to reach for it
kwarnisplayer: The trap in the video isn't a Coon Cuff. It's a Lil Grizz aka Sterling
Grizz aka Grizz Getter.
Safzuan Sahimi: hello sir, nice useless video..
TripleExPresident: Very informative & practical video. Thanks!
mrshardy4lyfe: omg u keep stoping between ur sentences juss finsh the damn sentence
Cody Kurelic: I know how he said do not go with out a firearm not a catch pole well i use
a catch pole with them and havent had any problems but i would suggest go
with a firearm
Johnny Webs: @costa5801 You are an ignorant racist hillbilly redneck.
bryan melville: no
desiSongs4u: @nilobeachbabe today its took HEAD of my PIGEON so thats why i am here :(
TheOutdoorsman07: @TheJeepster123 trappers check their traps daily. and the trap is meant to
hold the animal not tear into its flesh
furslayerlure09: @trapinhuntinfishin really? how long have you been trapping i piled up over
200 coon this past season with dp's and grizz getrs alone without a single
Nilopollis: good point. I just like raccoons.
Richard Miranda: I would scratch the idea of staking it to the ground, instead anchor it to
the rear your P.O.V. Once the raccoon is trapped, just drive away happy!
james liedtka: Obviously he is speaking to amature trappers. I always use a catch pole
with these traps. A bullet just makes them bleed all over the place and
puts an un-necessary hole in the pelt. If you don't lengthen the chain and
stake it well the coon will not be able to movve more than a couple of feet.
FromGian: Work smart not hard!!! There is a smarter, safer and more humane way to
catch a raccoon. Just get a cage that has a second door this way you will
not have to mess around with a pissed off animal by having to remove the
bracelet. Using this gismo is a very archaic and dangerous way to catch a
trapinhuntinfishin: i dont like them coon cuffs at all. big coons round here pull rite outa them
Scrap5000: Hhhmm, what if you can't use a firearm in that area? Can't you just wack em
over the skull with a bat?
NYmosVids: thats a really cool back up plan. wouldnt of thought of that.
Greg Cox: I know the length of my lead, I use a 6 foot spear extended past my marker
to kill the raccoon... decent meat if I do say so... gotta clean it fast tho
brendenwatts12: i am looking for yancys dp coon traps and i oly found were i could buy 6 or
12 but i only want a few???????
Schools: Learn how to get phlebotomy training in California! The job pays decent money for the amount of schools needed to graduate.
