kirikset: I'll soon get down to making tonst of videos on my current setups. It's been a crazy summer. I've been trying to build, test and fly lots of new models, because from november til may there is basically very little opportunity to fly anything but DLG and big multirotors for me.
Gian Cayetano: my control mode switch are moving when i move the throttle up or down, any solutions? thanks
Bishop Line: I have a JR9503, and the screen is not responding when I move the stick to calibrate and the control mode switch is in blue (A").
What do you think it could be the problem?.
Dorus Zwienenberg: reverse bitch
James Wright-Roberts: Excellent and very informative, thanks for taking the time to make such a well produced video.
Andrew Grabin: I'm running into a problem with my setup, which is really close to your's. I am using Naza M Lite and Turnigy 9X 8C, but I can not seem to get out of Fail-Safe . I can not get Attitude or M to turn blue under Control Mode Switch. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you for the help.
Emilio Treviño: i have the same problema do you fixed???
Łukasz Fus: ignore that, finish setup and bounding dissapire. I had the same on naza v2 software
LowCostCncRetrofits: Fantastic Ive heard having a fail safe on the radio radio is pretty important which the turnigy 9x does not have correct? From what I understand the failsafe needs to trigger the return to launch when radio contact is lost or un-bound regardless of it being in GPS or Atti mode otherwise it could fly away
Eugene Villanueva: Hello I am setting up my new turnigy 9xv2 with naza v2. I have u channel from the naza connected t o chan 6. the 3 way switch works but the throttle is bound to the u channel and therefore moves my control mode. How do you unbound the throttle to the u channel? thanks for your helpful video.
Nathan Bowles: I cant get my turnigy 9x to even do the TX calibration, keeps coming up with errors
kirikset: I do not own WKM, it is an overkill for my smaller quadcopter and I really have no complaints or missing features compared to WKM to buy it for my much bigger hexacopter. I do not know anyone personally and have not seen step by step setups. Maybe check DJI youtube channel, they seem to post lots of tips.
9x may be not enought if you want to use all features at the same time and i strongly advise againts using it with stock radio link as it lacks fail-safe. If in no hurry - buy frsky taranis
Chris Gregory: Hi - thanks for this video. have you or do you know anyone who has successfully configured the turnigy 9x with the DJI WKM? I'm fairly new to this hobby, but I'm told that the WKM is the best in the industry and the 9x may not work - thoughts?
Trist Ouille: Hi, I would also really appreciate a video for IOC. I have a Turnigy 9X and I don't know how to change the endpoints to assign "home lock" and "off" to GEAR switch. Thank you very much for your video, it was very helpful.
rcartelian: Any video with new configuration ?
I have same Turnigy 9X v2 , with FrSky D8R rx and DJT mod. and try to figure out withc is the best solution setup.
Any difference true the setup from this video and FrSky ?
FEARLFULL1: hey mate i have a spectrum dx8 and I plugged in all the plugs in the right spots and i turn it on and it flashes does the normal flashes and then does the 3 green flashes then it flashes red and when i connect to pc i have 8 errors and it says i have too call naza do u think i have a broken unit?? thanks
Pinyo Folvig: I honestly started to think my DJI Naza was faulty. Spent many hours trying to get escs to arm. Radio was set right and everything. Using the rmilec lrs and turnigy x9 radio. But after watching your video it fixed everything. Cheers mate. Perfect explanation video. For the amount of investment made on the controller and the gps, I wish they had better setup videos. BTW problem was the safety start up, needs to be in atti mode and move both sticks to bottom left and it will start up.
madebythebird: Great video, thankyou! Spent days interpreting those horrible manuals but this video explains setup very well. For noobs, it would be good to include some definitions of terms, too.
MrThejomau: Great vid!
Pep Gener: its ok, so I understand you set up as well channels 5 and 6.
kirikset: Hi) It's ok I may be confusing you in the video. I set up extra channels to later plug them into remote gain ports and after that use them to switch on/off orientation leds remotely. Would you like to see more setup videos? or more flight ones?
Pep Gener: Sorry for my ignorance kirikset. The video is fantastic but I dont understand why do you set up the 7 and 8 chanels, because I understand the fly mode (U) in the naza controller is assigned to the chanel 5 of the reciver.
thank you for your help
cpenteriche: Ohh I see, so the best thing if I want to use home lock is to change to Frsky. Now that you are being so nice. I dont know how far I can use my radio without losing signal. Is there a way to setup the turnigy to use failsafe when I turn the radio off?
kirikset: Oh, I just realized that this video was shot before I got a FrSky Rx/Tx kit that has failsafe) The short answer is - DO NOT USE course lock and home lock. They are incredibly likely to cause crashes. They will work only with GPS lock ans in this situation, it is much better to assign a switch to RTH and setup faisafe.
cpenteriche: Hi, thanks for your quick response. I just want to know how to setup my turnigy 9x with home lock or course lock, since I cannot have both configured. It will help a lot for sure since I'm a begginner. :)
kirikset: OK, I'll make a video about it when the weather gets a little warmer. PM me a question if it is something specific, I'll try to answer meanwhile.
cpenteriche: Hi kirikset, thank you very much for yuor video, it helped me a lot. Is it possible for you to post a video about IOC? I have the same radio as yours but I dont know how to do it properly. I appreciate if you could help us out! Thanks again
tstein: hi, I found and solved the probleme (broken connection between two pins on the upper plate). Now I`m soon ready to go..but can I ask...Is it either gps or failsafe? If both, how can I set it.
mic cen: excellent u know your stuff thank you for your help life saver
tstein: Hello. I also have a Turnigy 9X transimtter and receiver. I have followed your instructions 100% step by step over and over again. But can not get rid of the error cfg 8. Your help will be highly appreciated. By the way, your video is the best I`ve seen of this kind.
mepickulongtime: This video has all the info i need to use other radios with my dji phantom. Thank you very much for this very informational video!!!!
rockyFLYR: you are the best!!
kirikset: Thanks for feedback! Comments like your's urge me to go on planning more RC videos for the spring and summer. (It's well below -15 C in Moscow in winter and flying at night in winter is neither enjoyable for me nor interesting to watch as well as poses more crash hazards)
kirikset: Thanks, I've heard people speak it both ways but learned the correct one only after the video went live.
Rod Scott: This video is the BEST ever way to set up for 3pos switch.
Better than airplane setup with mixing on CH5/6.
I could listen to your accent (RU/EN) all day, I used to work with a few Russian/Bulgarian guys here in Aus. I loved it. Thanks Kirikset
Rod Scott: If you set up as airplane it is a bit more work to have 3pos switch to work for mode select.
You also lose a chanel as you need to MIX a chanel with GYR as master and GEAR as slave.
This pitch curve method is by far better to set up with stock firmware on 9X TX.
There are a few ways to make the stock FW 9X work with the 3pos switch and mode changing on Naza/Wookong/Multiwii systems.
The open9X and er9X firmwares (FW) are much better, but do take a little time to get used to the program methods..
ripcurl010: good info but its gimbal not jimbal
shannon pruden: Thank you soooooo much... I have had so many set backs with the turigy 9x transmitter.I came across your post and you my friend saved me alot of trouble. Turhigy 9x and naza up and flying!!!!!!! Thanks again for the INFO
david ringler: yes i followed your video did everything when not hooked to pc light goes green than orange flashing and csc arming both sticks to bottom left did it all
kirikset: have you run stick calibration? are ESC's connected according to the manualand wired correcttly? do you perform one of the CSC movements to arm the NAZA (like both sticks to the bottom left), are all channels reversed correctly according to the NAZA software? What color does NAZA flash after it swiotches on if not connected to the pc?
david ringler: need your help followed your video exactly! everything works att- man-failsafe, but more will not arm and run what the problem? email@example.com
EMT: Thanks! They sometimes skip corners and take the easy way. If they ever did that, I suggest you consult with a paralegal or lawyer. This way they won't be able to cheat you.
