Kyle Justin: GT500 driver is ridicously slow, the numbers is like a 2011 GT500 12.2@115mph. A better driver should do the trick. Motortrend even posted a 1/4 time 11.6@125mph stock.

David Lopez: If the GT500 on the streets are monsters I would love to see the RS3 with the same mods some of the guys have on their GT500.

Scott Hill: This was a commercial for Rauch. That Shelby was sandbagging big time. Also, it would be nice to hear what was under the hood of the Rauch. What type of mods and rear end gear. I'd like to see a comparison on a road course with my 2013 GT350 that has the extra horsepower package, suspension and handling package. It's putting out just under 700 hp.

Asking THE SAME question as the guy 5 posts above you,asking questions that were answered in the video,asking questions that this John guy answered 5000 times. You act like you would trailer queen the cars and because they ran realistic times if the average Joe who bought his Stang and drove it to the track would get. CLEARLY they need different tires,CLEARLY they need the same driver in each car regardless of how good or bad he is. You all act like you're NHRA veterans. I'm sure some of you who claim "driver mod" and "bad driver" (before you yell at me for pot calling the kettle black I raced motorcycles professionally for two yeaes. My first car was a Sale en S281 Mustang - the 500+ hp monster....for the year way back then when I was 15. I've had everything from 250-1,000whp cars so yes, I do have "SOME" room to talk. Yes, I was tooting my own horn there for a second. I'm happy to give my name to Google if you Internet warriors want to QQ about "bullcrap") could post better times then those two but the majority of you would fail even more, be honest with yourself. The GT500 obviously can run low 11s and the Roush runs high 10s given tires,driver,location. PERSONALLY I've owned a few Saleen and GT500s. I'm just about to go look at a brand new Stage 3. I've got a good relationship with the dealer and I get to take the thing for 24 hours. I liked the Saleen over the Termi back in the day and the recent GT500s. I'm 90% set on the Stage 3 over the GT500 but I wanted to make sure. 150shot,water/meth and a separate C16 tune and the thing will be all I need for my summer daily driver. Good videos John I'm sure it's annoying dealing with the IQ challenged on the internet. (You seem like a nice guy and while I never would admit it in your position either everyone knows it gets old). 3:00 random rant over!

I know their "professional" n all but I wonder if they even did burnouts before the runs. 2 seconds if spinning is going to cause the slower car to win either way of course so we still don't know which car is actually faster. At least do a mile run.

santiago melendrez: GT500 is still less money than the stage 3. And really the GT500 is also capable of running 11.60's. obvious the driver had a lot with the slow times on the gt500. GT500 for the performance and bargain. Don't see why anyone would buy a roush anymore. Roush needs to do something else, like be more affordable to sell.

EVERY single one of their packages is SOMEONE ELSE PARTS. suspension? frpp,brakes? baer, blower? kenne bell. tranny? tremec. crap even their body panels are outsoured. ever asked them what the top speed is on the gt1000? they don't know, they never tested it. this is all information Shelby gave me on a tour. they clearly lost leadership when mr. Shelby died. what does roush produce? (AND steeda!). suspension, body, brakes? all in house. shelby's a joke

John Trischler: There are no Aluminators in Canada. Transport Canada has banned them from import. Your mistaken. Maybe someone told you they had an Aluminator... but were mistaken.

John Trischler: Good question. Comparably equipt, they are similar, but the Roush has more available options than the GT500 and therefore can cost more. For example, you can't get a cutom paint job or a set of louvers on a GT500....

John Trischler: Continued....... So, can they do better? YES!! Lets Ice them both down and launch them cold! Get the GT500 to an 11.6 and the Stage 3 to an 11.0 or 11.2. What if we put some wider tires on the Roush and stickier tires on both! Then what? These cars are both Phenoninal! Add a tweek here or there and the sky is the limit! The key here is, these cars are not competitors... not like Mustang and Camaro! They are Brothers! Siblings! Choose yours! Thats the key here! I personally love them both!

kwthiede: Hey john let's see how the stage three phase three does against the supersnake..? And or get a buddy and do a bunch of crazy test with the zl1 vs. Phase three.

John Trischler: Again, these were real world tests. Not icing the cars down. Both cars were driven hard constant for 45 min on the interstate and were absolutely heat soaked. They were not iced down for the best numbers like the magazines do. We were't simply trying to get the best numbers. We were just seeing how they did in comparison together, hot. Drive a GT for 45 min and you won't get those #'s. Ice the Shelby down and you'll get upper to mid 11's. Ice the Aluminator down and you'd get low 11's.
