ctb787: @nuccastolemahhyoshi Did it work? The oven method?
Cameron Baldie: @JagoVsFulgore Hey np, we will definatly keep an eye out for your future
uploads on YouTube, feel free to subscribe to my Channel if you want, if
you like Metal or heavy music in general then have a listen to some of my
songs, they are a bit rough atm as I've only got a Webcam with a built in
mic but I'm investing in some better equipment so should have some better
quality vids soon. Thanks ;-)
mo119: Did you have to bake it again or is the card permanently fixed?
TheGoose81: Is your GPU still working? 4 months down the line?
MightyMe: trying this soon, maybe bbq if it doesnt work #lol
Marty Noto: I just did this and it fixes my dead 8800 gts graphics card, thanks, now I
am going to do it on my second card again.
Acewick1: i have to do this to my card atleast once on month did if 5 times now. im
to poor to get new card
teddancin100: I did this trick on my gtx 560 ti, absolutely works!
Vargulian Varg: im just trying this now, this is my goodbye note if anything goes horribly
sebastian9: OK I NEED HELP!!! I PUT VIDEO CARD IN MICROWAVE BCZ I DONT HAVE OVEN... AND
IT WAS MY ONLY CHANCE.. SO IT WAS GOING GOOD FOR THE FIRST 5 SECONDS AND
THEN I START SEEING BLUE LIGHT EVERYWHERE... ITS STILL IN THE MICROWAVE
RIGHT NOW BUT I COVER IT WITH BATHROOM TOWEL SO I THINK IT WOULD HELP?? ..
WHAT DO I DO NOW? PLSS HELP I DONT KNOW IF I SHOULD OPEN MICROWAVE OR TRY
TO TURN OFF???? MY DAD AND MOM GOING TO KILL ME IF THEY COME HOME!!! PLSS
globulonz: I just tried this today. Upon booting my PC yesterday, I got the tell-tale
beeping indicating non-functional video card. I was furious and didn't want
to have to buy a new card. Tried putting it in the oven and it works again!
Who knows for how long though!
Sean Linett: Holly balls i came accross this just a few mins ago when searchin mac
forums about the 8800gs vid cards needing to be baked in the oven and since
mine just sucks balls right now i have nothin to lose in trying this. How
long did you let it cool down for?? some say an hour some same 10 mins and
others say a day+ but that seems like overkill imo but i cant wait to get
home tonight and try this out...much better then droppin 500 on a new card!!
PlushifiedNaruto: My 8800GTX died last night after a 4.5 year run. I'll have to try this.
crue313: I wish i had an accent like that. Where you from brotha?
Vargulian Varg: @varg13fukyou this had actually worked, i've had it in for 15 minutes and
it lo longer has artefacts in post and 3d works as new!!
Cameron Baldie: @Gizmotrold I second that, I have an ATI 5870 and I've not had any problems
yet *touch wood*
Ruporas Didysis: are you serious? you cant put anything that shines (like metal etc...) into
microwave, it will destroys your microwave
TheLizards14: @Gizmotrold That sound was a capacitor blowing up and the yellow stuff is
the goo inside that helps it hold a charge.
Cameron Baldie: @DownfallPrion Thats not even right ! not Jason ! JagoVsFulgore
Constructordemarcas: It freaking works!!!!!!!! people who read this.. is not a joke! i just
repaired my 9800 gtx+! it works!!!! thx man
Faroosi: @sebastian9 It wont work on microwaves only works on ovens sorry dude
Sean Linett: @ctb787 yes it did. My imac is still working at least up till the time i
left for work this morning but i doubt it messed up. I ran hardware tests
on it non stop for a few days straight just to kinda stress it a bit and it
didnt have a single problem. Now i tried on another dead video card i had
for a desktop but it didnt help that one so it all depends on why its
messing up some work some dont.
rederfert fefefe: crappest guide ever, nowhere on this video have you shown what you have
actually done to the card in preparation.
Cameron Baldie: Sorry i said the name wrong not JasonVsFALgore ! JasonVsFulgore thanks
again for giving us the info ; )
doct0rthrill: @DownfallPrion Thanks. Do you recommend I put the card in an oven. it's
quite bad now after the heat gun.
Cameron Baldie: It's still working perfectly no problems at all.
Cameron Baldie: @doct0rthrill We had the same problem really, coloured dots all over the
Bios and in Windows I'd recommend the oven technique over a heat gun tbh,
because it's suppose to caused by Micro cracks in the solder and a heat gun
probably wont necessarily fix that 100% of the time.
AlessandroTheCynical: @sebastian9 Microwaving it is a bad idea.
doct0rthrill: what was wrong with this card b4? my 8600gt has colored dots and tried
heating up with a heat gun but the problem gets worst. am i not heating it
long enough of temperature too low? any help is appreciated. i had a heat
gun set at a notch below maximum heat output and blowing at gpu for 30
seconds vram foe 10 sec each.
Cameron Baldie: @TheGoose81 Yes it is :)
Gizmo meta: my nvidia got baked without using the oven ... i was playing world of
wacraft and then ingame all the graphics was changing colors , and then i
heard a reallly loud noice lol a high piched POP .. it was so loud that i
had tinitus in my eyes ... then i looked at it and it pooped a battery
shaped thing on my graphic card and some yellow stuff came out of it :S ...
really weird. .. so now im sticking to ATI :D nvidia suxx
Chef de NYC: Thanks! I'm more info ultrasound type of work. I learn most of the stuff myself online. Just only recently start looking for a school to make things "official". Hehe
