KIRAN K POTLURI: Thank you. Your video was a great help to me fixing my Note 10.1, model N8010.
The LCD was not turning ON, only had a dim back light. It turned out, the LCD ribbon cable at the bottom was not inserted enough into the connector.. Or it could have eased out on one corner owing to little slack.. the ribbon folding at that end was a bit high.. I adjusted this now so the cable would have enough slack either ends.
The other small maintenance I was bale to carry out (in my attempt to identify which ribbon cable I had to deal with for the original problem) was on the docking/charge port ribbon cable. When I opened this on the top end, I noticed a few terminals had some blue colored scale/dirt formed on them (could be oxidation!?). Cleaned this thoroughly.
1. I would like to post some pictures of my work to the benefit of others but first, with your permission. If you agree, how do I do that?
2. I would also like to contribute for your great effort put forth in preparing this video. Since I am not buying any parts from you at the moment, I'd need your advise as to how I can make this contribution.
Thanks again & warm regards

Gary Goates: What a great Video! Dropped my note, the screen colors were all fuzzy and distorted. Because of this video I was able to take the back off and re-connect the video cable. Unfortunately it didn't take care of the problem. The screen is not damaged and the video cable is connected properly. Anyone have another idea?
