Serkan Tüzünalper: thx man this is works also for me. Im using galaxy mini 2 and using ice blast rom works perfect good job for ur effort helps alot :D
Jay Rodney Besario: how i root my Phone?
power + volume + home button ? Only
UltimateHorde: UNLCK.PW got my phone unlocked and rooted for free. Glad I didn't have to pay money for it. I'm just giving advice to everyone. Don't pay, get it for free, it is worth a try isn't it? Try it for yourself!
TrOllinM4sTEr: thanks for the help man.
TrOllinM4sTEr: yeah. coz the app mimics the directory on the external sd card and temporarily remounts it on the old directory that's on the internal.
I rooted my LG motion and used GL to SD. I woulda used the Directory Bind app coz its better than GL to SD but I couldn't find it on the google play store marketplace.
homebrewman231: The root checker app doesn't unrooted it just checked to see if its rooted or not. You have to be rooted to do this process. If your phone is not rooted you're going to have to figure out how to do it it is different procedure for Every Phone
yogilegend: Yes it is, can the root checker app unroot it or how can I get access then
homebrewman231: Are you rooted? If so then you must have super user set to deny access. Get the app called root checker to see if you are rooted
yogilegend: Hi, how do I solve a problem with "Root access FAIL" when I start Directory Bind
homebrewman231: It depends on the app, for example modern warfare 3 is in the Gameloft folder data/gameloft/ mw3. Many games will have the folder called with the game is or the publisher. If you really can't figure out what does data folder is for a particular game you may have to google it to find out or in some cases email the developer of the game
homebrewman231: The problem is most apps wont download to the SD card that download to the internal memory. That is why you need to do the procedure in this video
TheyCaIlMe Snippy: How do I find an app's exact location, so i can move it?
Lil_fResH: My problem in my android phone is if i download apps 1gb didnt download.and my memory in sd card is 3.65..Why like that didnt download from sd card..plsss help me.
homebrewman231: Its the same thing, internal memory = internal SD card. The internal memory on the phone is usually partitioned, there will be the system partition and the internal SD or internal memory or internal storage partition all meaning the same exact thing. External SD card refers to a removable SD card.
homebrewman231: What you are describing is exactly what this app does. It tricks the app into thinking that that files are on the internal memory but really the data folder is on external sd. The end result is that you can run the app normally and have the data files on the external memory card
TrOllinM4sTEr: i will try this though. Directory bind. god i hope that DB is able to launch my games from the External sd card and keep it there and not have it go into internal memory upon launching the games.
wish me luck everyone.
TrOllinM4sTEr: i will try this though. i don't know if this will work because the lg motion has only internal memory and no internal sd card. the internal memory emulates the internal sd card. so the internal memory and the internal sd card are one and the same. this for whatever reason makes it impossible to send apps to the external sd card. the only file manager that can do it without root is the ES file manger. Astro file and OI file managers are useless.
TrOllinM4sTEr: scratch my previous comment.
I will ask this though. if I do put a game onto the external micro sd card, will the game boot up directly from the external sd card or go back into the internal/internal sd card?
because before rooting my lg motion I used es file manager to move the game JET SET RADIO to the external sd card....but when I hit the game icon to launch the game the game went right back to the internal memory before booting up.
that game is 1.75gb. huge!
Michal Novotný: thx man worked perfectly
TrOllinM4sTEr: I cant find "directory bind" app on google play store.
can you put up a link?
homebrewman231: It doesn't matter where it's installed
hristomihaylov1: Can this install to the SD card or the app should be installed first on internal memory than transfer it to the external?
homebrewman231: Go to directory bind and see if the bind is green,. Are you rooted? If so then try re doing the process again as you may have done something wrong
Ena Pavković: hi man, please can you tell me why on my galaxy s2 plus this is not working, I have done it same as you showed but when I transfer my game Asphalt 8 on external sd card it won"t work..it"s working fine when it"s on internal storage on the phone but when I do this it won"t work..is it because my external sd card is 16 gb?....please help
homebrewman231: maybe try deleting the folder and manually create another one. I mean delete empty folder of course, just be careful there may be a hidden file in it that you can't see in the file manager
Terence Lewis: i keep getting data directoy not empty, but it is empty and the game im trying to copy doesnt exist in there but my other game does
Niesa Endy: i'm using xperia tipo . then when i want to move the app , it's show move to internal storage & phone memory . it's so troubling me to download something because always full storage . my external sd card still many space . can u help it ?
Grisel Alani: thnx :D :D :D :D :D
homebrewman231: NO, I use it to test games or apps before I but them as many dont Work right with MY Phone, For example CM 10.1 themes, It it works then I uninstall it and buy it from the Play Store. most apps are Worth the money but getting a refund can be too much trouble
ImYoSeniorA: Checked,worked! thanks :D
B rage A: He is using black mart for free games..
homebrewman231: well I would not use this procedure to do it, most likely you can just manually move them. find the folder where they are located probably called music or something, then create the same named folder only on the external SD card and move the files there. Then re launch your music app and see if they show up automatically, if not you may have to go to settings to specify the new location. There may also be a setting to move them to the external SD card, check that first.
ImYoSeniorA: How do i change media and songs location
Raxelas: Thanks man! Works on Xperia V :)
homebrewman231: do you mean simple or limited? last time I checked Apple doesn't even have SD cards support. Simple devices for simple minds I guess
jojo29031: Android is sooo crap! Look how complicated everything is... Switch to APPLE guys and enjoy simplicity, great design and real quality!
homebrewman231: you have to understand why they designed it this way, some people take their SD card out of 10 and if they let you install your apps on it then they would not work when you took the SD card out. Also the phone booths faster if the apps are on the internal memory. I do wish they would leave the choice up to you though rather than making it for you, I think they're trying to avoid complaints and errors by doing it this way
homebrewman231: I don't know what you mean, are you saying that when you click the app it doesn't start or when you run the phone it doesn't start with the phone? If it doesn't start with the phone you have to go into the directory bind settings and have it bind on boot. if the app doesn't run at all maybe try uninstalling it and reinstalling it keep in mind I'm not the developer of this app
nikhil suhas Kamble: please help
nikhil suhas Kamble: my directory bind is not starting
Seksit Atta-Ekanan: Finally some one gets it! The only thing that Google has let me down is the excluding SD card on their Nexus devices!
S1L3NTAGONY: EXACTLY PROPERLY RIGHT. LMAO
WinqQ1: it should be like in old android versions internal and SD only no any crap usb storage and move to sd" option.
WinqQ1: ye i need to find cuz i got 4gb storage only this method is my only solution.
homebrewman231: every device is different, it may be called SD card 1 or something like that, use a file manager to search your device and find out what your external sd card is called and go from there
WinqQ1: what if i dont have folder called external_sd
Joe maher Baza: Didnt work
TDanceTV2: dude im not an idiot and my music/pics etc stays on my 32gig always.. and there is no option to delete anything ima look for new version of directory bind
homebrewman231: there is a check box somewhere for delete after transfer. Another thing you can do to besides use directory bind is to just uninstall some unused apps. Manually copy over all videos and pictures from the DCIM folder from the internal card to the external card you don't need to directory bind to do that. and you will have some space freed up
TDanceTV2: it loses my binds and backedup data and doesn't work maybe i need new version of it.. Also i notice urs deletes the old folders once it copies it mine doesnt do that
How to REALLY put apps on external sd card android4.6
