Ben Connor: This guy's great.
Michael Gutierrez: I've been running my 97zj jeep for almost a year. (5.2 magnum) and have no
problems other then dirty coolent o flush it once a month and use straight
Edward Crowder: Scotty, I have a 2001 Sierra 1500 with the 5.3 engine. It is currently
flashing the SES light and giving me a P0300 code. After checking the spark
plugs I found this one (
https://www.dropbox.com/s/sgg616ms61ayil2/20141115_151522.jpg?dl=0 ) with
oil on it and none of the others did. Could this be the result of a head
gasket gone bad?
Munky332: assuming this kit doesnt work on a diesel?
Petey Pablo: Mr. Kilmer, would you say a car losing coolant is a bad head gasket? i see
water dripping out the exhaust pipe and the water feels cold but i'm not
sure if it's actually coolant or not.
I had an unfortunate incident yesterday with my 2007 Escalade. It was
driving fine and once I parked it, it started blowing off White steam (or
smoke?) and some scorching smell along with some fluid, which exploded all
over., I check the engine bay and a heater hose (the left one with the
Black fitter connector) was broken, After an hour, I started to drive it in
the parking lot again, and I got the "Engine Hot Turn A/C Off" message and
more smoke came out. I had to tow it to a near shop. I hope I didn't do any
damage. My question is, I had no warning messages or reduce engine power
while I was driving to my destination. It all happen after I parked. Do you
think I could had blown the head gasket? Thanks in advance!!
Sami Hamid: Hey Scotty, have a 95 Civic EX here. After various overheating issues I
have replaced nearly everything involving the cooling system (cost me
little to nothing in money so not a major loss). New OEM rad cap, upper and
lower rad hoses, OEM thermostat (there wasn't one originally in the engine
when i first bought it HA) and new overflow bottle. slowing running out of
option as to why im overheating.
most of the time the needle goes up only in traffic after a while, so i
wanna point towards the fan. but the fan turns on when the needle rises up
a little (like midway), and then it drops back down to normal. also the
overflow bottle gets past the max line alot and the rad is almost bone dry
sometimes when i go to check the next day. so i cant believe that its only
a fan issue. ive bled the system several times, and for the most part the
car doesn't overheat much but after past experiences its a little
concerning to see that temp needle go up past normal.
kris200998: also its rarely just a head gasket my friend open up his engine to change a
head gasket turned out the block was cracked, pistons were worn, rods were
worn ended up changing the whole engine
chevyfan999: Trying to figure out if I have a blown head gasket keep getting different
answers the engine sounds fine and it's not overheating but there's oil
around the oil cap and it's losing coolant but guy says I need a new water
pump that it's not a gasket one guy says it is Idk it is a old car and took
good care of it if this car goes Idk what to do
Tomlin James: or since its a Toyota you should just go head at 100,000 miles and replace
them since that is usually when they fail.
Railbox200: how accurate are these test?
Alex Chevez: Scotty please help me I want to know how to calibrate. The valves in my
chevy astro 2000 4.3 vortex engine because have some noise at the passenger
side the sound is like if two peaces of metal hitting. Each other. Sound
it's not. Too loud
Sean Gomez: Hi I have a 1997 cadillac catera and it blows out alot of smoke out of the
exhaust. People tell me it needs head repair but i dont know. the car runs
great except when it starts heating up it blows alot of smoke everytime i
accelerate. When i dont accelerate its still blows smoke but less than when
i accelerate. when its cold theres no smoke. What should i do?
Marco C.: Scotty, so i bought one of these and tested it, let the car run for about 2
minutes, and it turned blue-green (more blue than green), and its on a
gasoline car. Does that mean i have a small leak?
Mickey Bauer: Scotty can i use this test on an engine that only cranks but wont start? If
not what would be the appropriate test for it?
David Mootoo: Hi, I have a 1998 Plymouth Neon 2.0L DOHC (thank you for your sympathy) and
my diagnostic said "Cylinder 1 misfire" and the car does not smoke in any
way at all. I tried doing the steps in your video, but I was unable to
change the coils because of the way the system is made up. Also, just like
in the video, the 1st spark plug is really bad, but the rest of them are in
relatively good condition. Any suggestions on how to proceed? I live in the
Caribbean and my specimen is a left hand drive bone-stock configuration
originally from Canada (if that helps). Thanks...
Bruno Erick Gomez: Hey I have a Honda civic that I bought all ready with the engine light on
til today that they stole the battery of it I got another one used and
started the car it ran as it always do til later on the day the engine
light started Blinking and it felt like the car was losing power when I was

Enrique Gonzalez: I have a Nissan sentra 2001 gx. engine sound grate but wen I am driving

engine are wern out but not sure
CJ Daoust: Hey Scotty, I have a 1991 Nissan Sentra Xe 5 speed standard. Ever since I
bought it I believe my car has only been running on 3 cylinders. My
friend's dad said he could hear a ticking from under the 2nd cylinder
valve, and also my exhaust makes a puff puff puff noise when I'm at idle in
neutral. Is this is blown head gasket or a bad valve or dead cylinder? I
have full compression in all cylinders and I believe oil is leaking into
the 2nd cylinder valve , not burning the fuel either. Also a strong rich
smell of gas too.
Maleekus: I'm concerned my wifes '02 Jeep Liberty has a blown head gasket but her
radiator doesn't have a cap. Do I use this tester on the overflow tank?
Amber Mills: What causes coolant to leak out exhaust flange?
Juan Mejia: Hi Scotty my car was dead so I'm jump car battery and the car started but
when start up it was white smoke coming out of the tailpipe.. I noticed
there's was not coolant on the radiator and checked the motor oil and it

Raquel Mayes: Hello Scotty, my radiato on a 2000 Honda accord is broke, I ran the car hot
several of times. However, the car turns over, how confident that the head
gasket has been blown???
Komane Booi: How to find top dead center on bmw e46
Jackie Lee: You are a hero..!!
I have Subaru forester 2000, at the moment the engine is overheating and no
hot air come from the fan. thermostat was replaced to new one, but it has
still same symptom.
In this case, is it obviously the problem of blown head gasket? cheers
ryann2k1: Hi Scotty. The white smoke coming out from my mitsubishi magna (some black
oil not thick when touching the muffler tip). The engine oil is fine but
some amount of water is gone from my coolant reservoir. The combustion leak
test is showing a change from blue to green. I only did the test about 10
mnts as too much smoke coming out and im afraid disturbing my neighbors.
The car runs normally, just the white thick white smoke from the muffler.
Do you think this is the sign of blown head gasket?
E. M. Torres: where do you buy this kits?
Naseer Syed: Thinking of buying a cheap e39 for $500. Previous owner says engine
overheats because if head gasket. Do engines overheat due to blown head
joaquin sierralta: isnt enough with only 1 tube?...
Robert Villarreal: Hi I have a 2000 ford focus with a cylinder 3 misfire code I replaced the

kounsucks: Is replacing the head gasket expensive?
vano83: This guy looks like Dennis Hopper!
Kaio Rafael: Hi Scotty, I am not English native speaker and I wonder what the heck you
say in the beginning of all your videos: "...... your engines". I do not
understand the beginning of the sentence. Thank you. :D
Zach Pascoe: Scotty I've got a question for you. I have oil in my radiator so i assumed
a blown head gasket and bought one testers. I performed the test twice and
each time was a negative. Is it possible if the leak is small enough this
test can miss it or can something else cause oil in the radiator?
Rick D: If the head gasket is blown will white smoke come out of the exhaust ? And
can oil leak out from the head gasket ? My friend says the dealer is going
to charge him 1260.00$ But what are the signs of a blown head gasket ! His
2004 Corolla only has 143,000kms
compaq988: Hello, I have a 2005 ford escape 4cylinder 2.3l, the car was been driven
with no oil in the engine and suddenly stops, please, do I need to rebild
the engine or the head gasket?
pieter vanham: Hey I have a 1999 Honda Civic LX 1.6 liter 200 horse power engine and its
making like a buzzing noise near the valve cover. What do you think the
problem is. It only happens when the A.C is on while the engine is
Andy Gulliver: Ford Focus Ghia 02 - temperature gauge permanently off the dial! Not even
drove it 2 miles - head gasket? Mechanic suggest that as all the coolant,
pipes and engine sounds smooth including oil levels that its the sensor
after engine steam cleaned?
nonamename: how to tell: You have a Subaru.
john darmiento: I accidentally spilled a bit of engine oil into my coolant reservoir, maybe
an ounce, will this do my engine harm?
iRhinoPro: You are cool
Beaniclava: Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this test less conclusive on diesel
engines? If so how else would you tell?
phunkyphantom619: my fiat bravo 2.0 makes a hissing noise when i accelerate before you get
the tsss noise off the turbo, is there a leak in my pipes?
CarsTrucksAndAirplanes: Where did you buy that kit?
Vet: When I graduated High School, all I wanted to do was kick back and relax without having to do any homework. But I realized I have no money to do anything fun. So I went to a San Francisco Vet School to get trained to make money. But seeing your videos, I am gonna be an internet marketer on the side. Let me know if you have any tips. Thanks.
