Fifty81: I got a 99pontiac gtp with 64000 miles and im replacing the intake manifold
gasket and the upper gasket should the head gaskets be replaced also
juan romero: 02 cavalier 2.2... car started to overheat, we discovered that the
antifreeze was getting out of the reservoir and it was (leaking) from the
hose right next to the reservoir. The hose is not connected to anything.
replaced thermostat and engine heating sensor, but keep doing it. we have
to fill the reservoir on every trip and back. because it discard it from
the same hose. any ideas?
619Daygo Sunny760: Usually if your head gasket is blown you can tell because it will be
leaking oil. lol
Michael Mendoza: hi scotty
just want to ask why my bmw x5 e53 blowing white smoke and when i chek d
oil level its almost empty
Ryan Toomey: Will this work on cars that do not have a radiator cap and instead only
have a cap on the overflow reservoir?
Treyvon Evans: How do i fix my speedometer in my 87 jeep Cherokee
Shamoon Irfan: I have a Chevrolet Captiva. I had some coolant leakage problem but cannot
determine where the leak is actually. I had been running on water as
coolant in the coolant system. Now after 2-3 months I can see some brown
powder mixed with the water in the coolant bottle. I am worried is it the
blown gasket mixed into water or is it the pipes corrosion dissolved in
water. Please Help Kilmer.
Thanks in advance
David Miranda: Hello! I'm trying to diagnose if my head gasket is blown or not, I don't
have access to the kit you describe in your video "How to tell if your head
gasket is blown (http://youtu.be/QA7KVQq9vKA)". Can a compression test be
conclusive too about the head gasket? Thanks...
Kristen Wagner: hi, I have a 96 Hyundai Accent GLS, 1.3L. It was running fine till the last
week. Then I saw a lot of smoke coming out from the tail pipe with some
water drops too. Smoke gets worse when I am reversing the car or may be its
the time I do look in rear view mirror. I took it to mechanic. He said its
some oil burning. Then he said its not a gasket issue. But I am not
satisfied as the car does not heat up. and the coolant level is normal. If
it is oil burning, then what to do?
EppingForest304: In a garage they use a gas analyser to check for Hydrocarbon emissions
coming from the coolant
David PhoTWENTY: If your having to top of ur radiator every week or have vapor from ur
exhaust its a blown head gasket
MrMrsregor: will this work on my motorcycle (liquid cooled 03 KTM 625 sxc) ?
George W: Nice test kit. I've always done it old school by pulling the oil dipstick
and checking it for chocolate milk as it were. As well as hydrocarbons in
the coolant. That test kit seems to let one know way before the coolant
does. What a time saver.
Railbox200: how accurate are these test?
Mojinr: Hi scott, I just wanted to tell you this video helped me out quite a bit. I
was sure my issue was a blown head gasket and I'd have to trash my car but
the block test was clean! Now I'm relieved but still lost.
Michael Caceres: Scotty,I've a Chevrolet Ventura 2001, in the lower intake manifold where
the cooling temperature sensor ( thread) is a hair line crack, how can you
fix without to take out the intake manifold, thank you.
Pan Filo: Hi Scotty! So I did this test and the die did not change color, even after
10 minutes. I also checked spark plugs for oil and coolant, and they
appear to be clean. What else could be causing white smoke from the
fukkever1: My 2010 camaro is leaking the coolant, could this be the problem?
Bernice Brundage: I have a 96 tahoe with a 350 it smokes like a sob mostly whit but once in a
while there's light blue smoke would that be a head gasket or bad rings
Sylvia Florida: Amazing! A friend told me to check the oil. If there's sludge and it
looks like water is mixed with it, then the head gasket is bad . (Will that
really tell you anything, too?) I checked and didn't really notice
anything that looked like that. How much would it cost to replace the bad
head gasket on a 1998 Oldsmobile Silhouette?
I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to fix my mother's van (she loves
it!) or call it a loss and buy a different car. The problem is trying to
buy something used without its own problems (or future possible problems)
in her price range. Thanks! I feel like watching all of the videos even
though they don't pertain to her car.
Skyler Bales: Hey what is happening when alot of white smoke is coming out my exhuast and
smells like burnt rubber??
Petey Pablo: Mr. Kilmer, would you say a car losing coolant is a bad head gasket? i see
water dripping out the exhaust pipe and the water feels cold but i'm not
sure if it's actually coolant or not.
strung0ut01: Hi Scotty, really appreciate all your tips. Just wondering I am getting
coolant in my sump, I haven't tried this combustion tester but did I
pressure test the cooling system and it isn't losing pressure, which should
rule out gasket failure correct? Any ideas how it could be getting into my
playa187: Yo Scott, got a 2005 f150 and I have a burnt rubber smell coming from the
exhaust..just had the serpentine belt replaced about a month and half ago
cuz it was squealing and also the burnt rubber smell. Any idea what that
is? Is it a pulley sticking? When the belt was removed all pullies moved
freely. Any help would be great. Thanx guy
Sal Damian: hey scotty i have a question, i got my head re furnished because we
replaced the head gaskets and put it back together and my car started to
leak and my mechanic said that it had to be re welded and stuff , i haven't
had my car for a month and i have kinda lost hope of it getting fixed do
you think that re weld will stop the leak and make my car run back into
SkinnyFatBoyzz: love his energy
Ellen Clougherty: question, what if a seller knows he has a blown head gasket and does a
quick radiator flush and puts new antifreeze in before putting it up for
sale and doesnt start the vehicle, will it still show up on this test....
TheReal SirKronik: Should the tester kit be air tight when doing the test? I did that and
sucked up coolant even after draining some out. Maybe I need to drain more
Love your videos btw.
Stan THE MAN: Hi Scotty kilmer I jus wanted to know is seafoam cleaner really good, or
bad for some cars. I have a 94 Toyota celica and its been sitting out for
about 4 years and I've been trying to get it back to its glory since I'm
the new owner. I changed the oil a few times but it still comes out dark
like black almost, I even changed my oil pan. I jus wanted to know if
seafoam really works, and should I use it????? Thank you for taking the
time to read this.
P.s I was doing research about seafoam and seeing different ways people
have done it but I wanted to ask you and anybody's opinion in this
Rudy Cadena: So i have a 1987 nissan d21 pickup, and i just replace the head gasket...
had the head machined before re installing... still getting alot of white
smoke from the tail pipe and running poorly when accelerating... any ideas
would be helpful... thank you...
***Classified***: What causes a head gasket to develop little leaks?
JohnnyTheCarNut V.: hello scotty i love your videos, see them all the time when i can.I wanted
to tell you i have a 1990 full ford bronco and today i started it and its

Rhonda Hernandez: I have a 2003 for expidition my oil cap is milky but the dip stuck is clean
wat can it be
Aden Gilbert: You ever worked on a Hyundai Tiburon are the engines solid
Mathur Saravanan: mr. scotty kimer.. I have a doubt.. what's is the reason for the cooling
water getting low in radiator.. I checked there is no external leak, if I
go for a ride say 50 kms, the amout of water reducing is about 5-6 litres..
can u able to advice me?
Latino America: Just tried the test on my honda civic 2004 gasoline engine and the fluid
turned GREEN instead of yellow.... isn't the green supposed to happen only
for DIESEL engines? What does this mean?
Rj Yrigollen: Where can I buy the test?
Antonio catanese: Liquid green whats means? thanks for your answer

KCTnD: Dude, you are awesome! Hope you are making stacks of $$$ from the Tube!
You have given me some GREAT pointers.
cannabean5: I do not have an overheating problem or any sign of oil in antifreeze or
water in the oil. I'm thinking of using this test because I cant figure out
what's going on. I have a new radiator cap 16 lbs (stock correct) but water
trys to surpass it and the upper hose swells or has a lot of pressure. Any
ideas? 2002 Chrysler Town and country 3.8l.
Matt Joines: My grandpa has an 80s ranger that I think the head gasket is blown on. It
smokes out of tail pipe real bad. I was thinking about buying for around
300. Would it be a waste of money if the head gasket was blown?
Mark Grace: Hey Scott how can you check a coil pack on a 97 ranger 2.3l
MyAccountBitch: That's a $100 kit. Is there a cheaper way that might be as accurate and not
Falcedon: Hey Scotty I have a 2001 Chevy Malibu 3.1 v6 (famous for head gasket
problems) and I've noticed some problems. My coolant reservoir has a white
creamy gunk on the cap and inside the rim of the reservoir and there's a
leak under my manifold. Does this sound like a blown head gasket? My dad
has been a mechanic for over 20 years and he won't believe its a head
Michael Butler: Can I just throw the liquid down the drain when I am done with it?
john hill: If theres a bad head gaskit doesn't water get into the oil also n turn,it a

Jason O'cass: Hi scotty i have a 1999 saab 93 b204e will steel seal fix my head gasket? I
