CarlWong510: What sensor will emit black smoke from exhaust pipe if malfunctioned?
pieter vanham: Hey I have a 1999 Honda Civic LX 1.6 liter 200 horse power engine and its
making like a buzzing noise near the valve cover. What do you think the
problem is. It only happens when the A.C is on while the engine is
phunkyphantom619: my fiat bravo 2.0 makes a hissing noise when i accelerate before you get
the tsss noise off the turbo, is there a leak in my pipes?
firstchoice14: Scotty, Does this apply to a cracked head, as well? I have a 1994 Chevy
S-10 Blazer 4.3L Vortec engine and I have steam coming from the tailpipe.
Also overheating. And, should I pull BOTH heads, if one is cracked? Thanks
for your reply!
Jackie Lee: You are a hero..!!
I have Subaru forester 2000, at the moment the engine is overheating and no
hot air come from the fan. thermostat was replaced to new one, but it has
still same symptom.
In this case, is it obviously the problem of blown head gasket? cheers
john darmiento: I accidentally spilled a bit of engine oil into my coolant reservoir, maybe
an ounce, will this do my engine harm?
Andy Gulliver: Ford Focus Ghia 02 - temperature gauge permanently off the dial! Not even
drove it 2 miles - head gasket? Mechanic suggest that as all the coolant,
pipes and engine sounds smooth including oil levels that its the sensor
after engine steam cleaned?
compaq988: Hello, I have a 2005 ford escape 4cylinder 2.3l, the car was been driven
with no oil in the engine and suddenly stops, please, do I need to rebild
the engine or the head gasket?
joaquin sierralta: isnt enough with only 1 tube?...
Sami Hamid: Hey Scotty, have a 95 Civic EX here. After various overheating issues I
have replaced nearly everything involving the cooling system (cost me
little to nothing in money so not a major loss). New OEM rad cap, upper and
lower rad hoses, OEM thermostat (there wasn't one originally in the engine
when i first bought it HA) and new overflow bottle. slowing running out of
option as to why im overheating.
most of the time the needle goes up only in traffic after a while, so i
wanna point towards the fan. but the fan turns on when the needle rises up
a little (like midway), and then it drops back down to normal. also the
overflow bottle gets past the max line alot and the rad is almost bone dry
sometimes when i go to check the next day. so i cant believe that its only
a fan issue. ive bled the system several times, and for the most part the
car doesn't overheat much but after past experiences its a little
concerning to see that temp needle go up past normal.
David Mootoo: Hi, I have a 1998 Plymouth Neon 2.0L DOHC (thank you for your sympathy) and
my diagnostic said "Cylinder 1 misfire" and the car does not smoke in any
way at all. I tried doing the steps in your video, but I was unable to
change the coils because of the way the system is made up. Also, just like
in the video, the 1st spark plug is really bad, but the rest of them are in
relatively good condition. Any suggestions on how to proceed? I live in the
Caribbean and my specimen is a left hand drive bone-stock configuration
originally from Canada (if that helps). Thanks...
Samuel Peterson: what if your are unable to get your car started?
Pedro Elias Diaz: Hi Scotty, i have a d15b honda engine i have machined the deck block and
head put new mls headgasket and still having coolant in the cilinders what
can cause this problem?, can the head be bad? i really appreciate your help
and thanks in the advance.
movieguy73: why does the tester have two stages?
Frannyontheone: How hard is it to get to these head gaskets to see if its broken visually?
or is it better to rely on the test kit
koreyishoss: this guy is high as freak
Travis Fromherz: hey scotty i have a 2000 cadillac elderado 4.6l v8 engine. my car runs fine
till after a little bit then the dash will say engine is hot, need to add
coolant everytime no leaks at all any ideas?
Chris jeppesen: Hey Scott my name is Chris from Brisbane Australia, I own a 2000 holden
rodeo 2.8 turbo diesel (it's a Isuzu 4jb1 engine) it's done about 275,000ks
awesome car only major thing I've done to it is a injector plump reco! But
I noticed from my head gasket down I have oil leaking from it (defently not
tappet cover gasket) I degreased it a few weeks ago and notice it's leaking
again it's not major at the moment not to the Point where it's dripping on
the ground or a noticeable change on the dip stick. But my point is would
it be my head gasket or somthing going on with the head it self?
Thanks for you're time!! :)
mjobermeyer09: How can you tell if a lower intake manifold gasket is blown on a GM 3400
tyeatene04: I have a 98 Civic Ex Coupe...I'm losing coolant but no signs of leaking
anywhere. No white smoke...car runs good....just losing coolant. What do u
think it could be?. I live in Phoenix Az...where it's always hot.
anthem11212: when I'm driving down the road or come to a stop light my car will just
die....also I have white smoke coming from the front of the car. What is
Happy Harry: I've seen these testers before with only one chamber. Any reason why there
are 2 chambers for the blue liquid on this one? Thanks.
Josh Mohan: 2 questions i have a 95 chevy blazer with the 4.3 v6 it has vapor not like
a oil but water vapor coming out of the exhaust in a smoke form and the rad

well or just head gasket any opinons how to tell if its the head or intake
Hector Pastor: HELP! i have a 1995 Chevrolet camaro. I've had my engine re-build about a
year ago and now every time i start my car, smoke comes out from the
exhaust, i don't know if its blue or white (i'm colorblind). But, It goes
away once i am on the road . It`s also very noisy and when its in neutral
or in park the car goes to 1500 - 2000 rpm. also, when i change gears the
cars kinda kicks with a loud noise. what can it be?
TAShannon1: If you had a cracked or warped head, would you lose compression? On a V6
for ex., would that leave all 3 cylinders on that side to not run?
Devonte Swope: We're can I get this tester from?
Matt Orourke: Where are you located?
mark steagall: why buy this test kit,if you have bubbles blowing fluid out the radiator
overflow tube ,then you have a blown head gasket
Flynn White: Wait a minute. But what if you have a cracked head? Wouldn't you also see
the same results?
Jhonn Jakob: there is a easier way using compression testing
Francis V: I did this test 3 times for about 5 minutes each and the fluid stayed blue
each time, but there was a decent amount of oil in the radiator when I
siphoned some of the coolant for the test. Should I be worried/perform
another test? The car was a 1991 Mazda Miata.
Chiaszy: I have a 2001 Chevy Impala LS and while driving it earlier today i went to
pass someone, as i was passing them i heard a noise that, best way to
describe it, sounded like i just ran over a can in the road. I stopped
after that and popped the hood, everything seemed to be fine, but something
smelled different. Everyone I've talked to has different theories on what
it is. HELP PLEASE.
INternatiol Beethoven: I HAVE A 1995 CADILLAC DEVILLE CAN YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY

shawoo: Have any videos to address car that burns oil? I have 140k mikes on my
civic...anything i can do or test to address that?
Nex Azuarugahrarrah: WHERE CAN I GET THIS AWESOME T00L
lazyjames 15: Why do it from the rad? you can do it from the coolant reservoir as well.
Saves mucking around sucking out coolant.
Kenny Powers: Would you use K-seal as a solution to fix the head head gasket?
Or strip the engine down and fix it properly?
moos209: Cant you also do a compression test
Jorge Perez: Hi Scotty I just buy a Mazda CX7 2.3L TURBO Charge and I need to know if I
did a good deal if this suv are good or not. and also if is ok to use 87
gasoline or 91 like the book said
Saleem Basury: i simply love you - you are simply great -
sonja rutledge: I like you, Scotty! How much does one cost? I mean the tester.
Cody Ptolemy: So I have a 1990 2200 celica gt and we over heated it once and now when we
turn it over a huge amount of water fly's out of the rad cap and the
thermostat so as soon as we attempt to turn over its like it builts instant
pressure any thoughts?
Scotty Kilmer: How To Tell If Your Head Gasket Is Blown
cornell Coogler: Hello Scotty i have a 94 firebird.and white smoke only comes from the
pipes. When its at high RPMs. And drives fine when under 30 or 40 and the
idle is high
krimes213: how much would it take to repair??
Devin Walsh: Scotty I just purchased a 02 mustang v6. When you start the car up there's
a really loud ticking from engine and lasts about 20-30 seconds. And also
wen I'm driving shifting out of 1st into 2nd there's a bump and almost
grinding '. And lastly when car is at red light it seems like the engine is
bumping like it wants to go any help would be Appreciated thank you
xxkillin3mxx: Where can i get one of those turkey things to suck up the coolant! didnt
understand the name
madtownmadman: Does the engine have to be able to run, to perform this test? My brother
overfilled the crankcase on an 01 Ford Focus 2.0 sohc by about 1-1.5qts.
This caused the oil to foam after a few minutes of highway driving. He said
that there was a ticking sound emitting from the engine. I'm assuming that
that is when the oil pressure dropped. The engine soon afterward
overheated, and blew a cloud of smoke. Turns out the heater hose blew, and
got coolant all over the exhaust. When he got off the freeway exit, the
engine died. He said that the idiot light for the oil came on just prior to
exiting the freeway. The car was towed home, and now I'm looking it over.
The engine cranks, but won't start. I'm thinking that the head gasket may
be blown. Your thoughts?
David Goodrich: I have a 2002 nissan sentra spec v. Changed my spark plugs then other day
and noticed oil leaked into one of the ports and was in the boot and on
plug. I also noticed oil buildup around the head when I turned car off. Im
guessing head gasket is bad? Am I right?
johnsalman66: hey scotty, i have 2001 toyota corolla and recently stopped running after
fumes from hood started to come out and there was a loud knocking sound
coming. car would start may be for a second or two and then stop. does that
mean there is a problem with head gasket?
