Dario Pupi: Hi i have a turnigy 9x too. The manual of naza says i need to use a new
model in the radio as AIRPLANE mode.... i see you are using the HELI
mode... did you find some problems? is not a problem use HELI mode? I'd
like to use heli mode too because is more simple for set the switches on
Jared Cruthird: dennis, i have settup up my discovery with nava v2 and turnigy 9x according
to your video and every thing works accordingly except for manual mode. It
shows on naza software when i toggle 3 position switch and highlights blue
above gps, att, but not manual the arrow below it is centered but will not
highlight it just goes to failsafe. any ideas?
Vilson Cobello Junior: Hi, your videos are awsome!!!!
Easy to understand and apply.
I've done the flight modes and fail same on 3 swith and gear. It is working
Do you have anything about course and home lock on Turnigy 9X standard?
Will be helpfull.
Tks and congrats for you!
Fiqo Junior: why is my flight mode changes when i push the throttle?
R. WIZA: Hi,my turnigy 9x doesnt have neither throttle curve nor pitch curve
option,what can i do?
Leandro Mota: Very good guy, tks a lot. Helped me a lot.
Ralph D: do you usually take off the ESC plugs when connecting to PC? I have to take
mine off or else the assistant software won't connect with my naza M-lite
Gerald Duncan: Excellent demo and explanation Dennis, I've had a young fella set mine up
for me and it all seemed like Black Magic until I saw your video - many
i8thegovernment: so you have your 9x setup inheli mode? how do you switch off auto mix of
throttle and pitch because when i move throttle stick up the throttle
slider moves but so does the control mode switch slider. any idea whats
going on thanks
Guillaume Leleu: when i connect channel 6 to the U port, and when i move the throttle, the u
port possition moves with the throttle (in the naza assistant)
Jack Mackay: Do you have a way I can contact you? I need help. This is too slow.
Lewis Anderson-Gee: Hi Dennis! Awesome video. I see you use heli mode but when I use this the u
port in control by the throttle??? How do i get this to work? Please help i
am so stuck with this matter. I have the turngy 9x and naza m v2. People
have said use plane mode but then i dont know how to setup the 3position in
i8thegovernment: hi im using turnigy 9x and frsky v8fr reciver. all channels work but when i
move the throttle stick up the throttle slider moves but so does the
control mode switch slider. any idea whats going on thanks
Hoverbot1TV: Hey Dennis, just got a used V1 so it is 9x set up night here! For my gimbal
Ken Morriss: Hi Dennis, I'm having trouble in setting up my 9X with the Naza M Lite. On
the Naza site it tells you to use an aero as base model, but there are no
pitch curves on the aero and every time I use the heli model, it necer
saves it. Have you any suggestions please?? Also I have the Qbrain 4 ESC
and does this work with the Naza do you know??? Sorry so many questions,
but I'm fed up of pulling my hair out and shouting at the pc!!!!
dallem27: when i have the aux 3 all the way down when i give it throttle it moves my
flight mode but not on the other ones cant figure it out
nicholas dallwitz: Seems to be confusion out there about heli/acro mode. Pitch curve is only
on Heli mode so this video is only applicable to that mode.
Wayne Shephard: Well done, very useful, thankyou
i cant seem to get back an email verification over there at garage pilots!
please let me in!!!
Dylan Harrison: Will this work with the naza m lite??
San Tiago Fernandes: God bless you bro! Thanks for sharing!
dannics74: Dennis - I took the discussion to Garage Pilots - please look me up there -
would greatly appreciate any help you can offer
Robots4Sale: i'm just going to mail it to you so you can do it for me
dannics74: Do you have a video of your inital setup?? Or can you just jot down the
setting for it? IE what mode and setup you are flying in and your
Lightspit: Hi Dennis, i tried to do as it is done in this video but I have 2 issues:
1) I cannot assign F.mode to any channel. I supposed it had to be mixed to
another switch. How am I doing this?
2) In NAZA menu when I move throttle also U change as well. I've done a
wrong setting or what? I am lost here.
Geoff W.: Fantastic video, thanks heaps Dennis, helped me greatly.
Lukas Vogel: holy crap i would never gotn to that!
AbdelRahman ElHijazi: i have a question, were you connecting the Tx to the computer or without
connecting it ?
Robots4Sale: i have turnigy 9x and it does not show the pit/curve
Mark Micallef: Hi Dennis, did you have to adjust any mixes to achieve this? My Turnigy 9x
does not bind the AUX3 (3 channel switch) to any channel it looks like you
have to mix it with a knob.
Dwight Mc Lean: Is it to much to ask is to do one on a Taranis. I checked all the YouTube
videos , and cannot find anything on the DJI Naza setup. Yes I can download
the program from RCgroups, but it would be nice to see a video on it.
i was wondering if you can tell me how to set up manual mode on a 2
position switch on its own
i have my 3 pos switch set up as gps/atti atti atti
david ringler: I upgraded my nazam v1 to v2 and I have a gps I am using a stock 9x and
stock receiver how do I set it up for fAILSAFE? AND DO YOU KNOW HOW TO
SETUP THE RTH AND COURSELOCK ON STOCK9X
brimest0ne .: Hey Dennis, Have you looked at the new Assistant software, you can choose 3
modes at the end, the trick would be to figure out how to access a 4th
function mode using the 3ps +1 other switch. So it would have GPS, ATTI,
Failsafe and flick another switch and get Manual mode. Its beyond me, but
maybe you can figure it out, without your Videos, my copter would be still
sitting on my desk! Thanks
Chris Latham: Hi Dennis, I don't suppose you have a Taranis transmitter and have set it
up the same as this? Chris.
kj erts: Great guide! With my Naza V2, the manual mode was out of range, so I had to
use the subtrim-menu and other values for the curve.
Jakub Egermaier: Why I cannot see PITCH CURVE in my MENU of Turnigy 9x? Does anybody knows?
LifeInRecoil: Great video! Thanks!
Dennis Baldwin: Awesome. I always appreciate the feedback. Thanks and I'm glad you got it
up and running.
Frank Vanbeek: stumbled on this for a long time till i found YOUR video dennis... thanks a
Greg Spence: Hey Dennis, I noticed this video is pretty new, but my 9x doesn't have Pit
Curve. I think this is done through the Prog.Mix settings but I'm not sure.
My 9x just came in a week or two ago, so it should be current firmware but
my menus don't match. Any advice?
Dennis Baldwin: To configure different flight modes you'll need to set it up with your NAZA
connected to the computer and your transmitter binded to your NAZA. After
you do this once you shouldn't need to do it again. DJI released a new
iPhone app that allows you to do some configuration of the NAZA over
bluetooth, but I'm not sure if you can setup flight modes with it.
Andrew Sommer: KK2 is NOW performing well but one needs to flash 1.4 or 1.5 firmware to
get Auto Stabilize to function properly. I went to LazyZero to get
firmware. My next step is to rebuilt quad as an H copter to accommodate the
FPV and test Gimbal with lighter Kodak Sport Video Camera. One I have the
KK2 talking to the gimbal and learn FVP issues and feel confident I'll move
on the the Heavy Lift Hex. It seems like two steps forward one step back.
Dennis Baldwin: No problem. I've actually wanted to try acro mode just to see if I get more
responsive handling, but I noticed there were several options missing from
the menu, which wouldn't let me do the different flight modes. Anyway, good
luck with the configuration.
Dennis Baldwin: Michael, thanks for the feedback and sorry to hear you're having problems.
The interesting thing about this setup is that I don't have ch6 assigned to
anything in the Turnigy 9X Aux menu. I know that sounds absurd and to be
honest I don't know why it works that way :) Let me ask you this...are you
using a fresh profile on your 9X or did you modify an existing one? I'll be
glad to help you get this resolved as I'm still trying to understand all
the different features of the 9X.
Dennis Baldwin: No, nothing on Channel 5 for this setup. I'm not sure what problem you're
having but if you'd like some more help go to garagepilots . com and post
in the forums. Either myself or someone else can help you there. Thanks and
Dennis Baldwin: Thank you for the feedback. Can you tell me if you're flying in ACRO or
HELI mode? I recently switched to ACRO mode and I believe some of this is
different so I plan on doing a video. But I wanted to understand your mode
before I try to help you out.
Dennis Baldwin: No problem at all. Just let me know how it goes.
Cert: Building stuff is always in my family gene. My dad is a new york auto technician and taught me everything I need to know about cars. Now I sell car parts online to suppliment my income. So it does help when there's good guidance.
