snoop dogg: What is that string called? and can i use any other string
Get Outdoors: I had a local pro shop tie my peep in, and it keeps moving up the string. Maybe it's because I use the style of peep with tubing connected to it. Of course, if I don't use that the peep wants to twist on me. Ugg, Hunting season is two weeks out, and I'm tired of messing with this. I've gone through at least 3 styles of peeps, and none of them are quite right Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
Karl Paddon: A great help, thanks
Buba Loui: It's just like tieing eye's on a fishing rod. You could add wax to the bow string and the serving, this would help keeping it all in place.
ArcheryReport: It's just normal serving string. There are several types used for serving bowstrings, and there are other types that are more generic. Some people even use floss.
PSE Hunter: What is the string you tie the peep sight called??
ArcheryReport: @liv4daoutdoors If you are talking about the peep sight moving up the string on you, yes, done properly this method will keep the peep in place. Just make sure the serving is wound fairly tightly (you don't want it so tight that it compresses the string) and you should be fine.
liv4daoutdoors: ive been having a problem with my peep sight moving up on me. will this help keep it from moving on me?
j0nnyw00: Next time turn your washing machine off please!
