Rakesh G: hello SchlumpfiHB recently i have got Lenovo S880i phone, can you guide me how to root the device,, in this device instead of installing googleplay from other sources also, it is not opening google play,, pls help
Danish Shah: I have qmobile a2 which has mt6575 chipset and gingerbread OS. I have tried many ways to root but I can't root it. Please help me
Pankaj Bansal: thanks a lot for reply. i am currently using Win7, i will try it with vista as well... hope it works with vista..:)
Colonel Zap: I don't have this phone anymore, so I can't check :-( Maybe you should try it without the battery, the phone definitely needs to be off. I am using VISTA and it works like a charme but I read plenty of times that people using Windows 7 are having probelms with drivers.
Pankaj Bansal: Hi, thanks for the reply.
it is still not working with volume +/- key. while connecting to PC, phone should be switched off.. rit?? pls help me out here.
also this phone's modem is not detecting in my PC device manager modem ports.. does it have anything to do with flashing process??
Colonel Zap: Sorry, I can't tell you :-( Maybe holding vol + or - when connecting the phone will trigger it?
Pankaj Bansal: Hi,
I followed the steps as per the video but the flashing process is not triggering for my Lenovo A750 device.
steps taken by me:
1) started flash_tool, loaded scattered file, removed the battery and put it back (phone is still switched off)
2) clicked on download button, connected device with my PC using USB
3) flashing process isn't starting (pls help)
Alex Gimenes: Dear friend! Can you help me about how can I do this at lenovo a789?
Adnan Salihbegovic: Hi ColonelZap,
Please send a link where to find and download MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc .
Colonel Zap: Yes, I think it also works if you flash the bootimage only. The flashtool will give you a warning that something is missing but I think you can just ignore that.
roottest2003: Your video flashes both preloader and bootimg files. Can I just flash the bootimg file only to root my Lenovo A750 phone for installation of those provided google apps.
Colonel Zap: I would suggest you try all this on an XP or Vista pc.
Colonel Zap: I really don't know what the problem is on your end? I've received plenty of feedback that my little tutorial worked for other people.
Colonel Zap: Check your device manager for any unknown devices and try to install the drivers from there. I heard about this problem before from people using Windows 7, I only have Vista running, so I don't know the exact procedure, SORRY.
Elemer Gazda: I did Factory Reset on this phone and now I have "Invalid IMEI" and I don't have signal on any network.
Could you give any advice or directions to use?
Colonel Zap: Congratulations! Glad I could help :-)
Colonel Zap: With different software, yes. Check out my blog, I have some instructions for the ZP100 there as well.
