Scotty Kilmer: How To Fix Small AC Refrigerant Leaks On Your Car
טכנאי מזגנים בישראל: Great technique!
fordwindsor351: Do you still need to hook up an vacuum pump after replacing a rear
deltafox399j: scotty clean your freaking car
lathesh kumar: well I have chryser 300 m. recently while turning on ac Its started giving
kind of woosh sound n gradually cooling had gone down. so I checked with
the mechanic and he refilled refrigerant (not by your way) and the cooling
is back. But after a week the same issue, and i found out that cold air
blowing on driver side and bit warm on the passanger side. cooling is not
that good too. Please help me to solve the problem.
transformer889: scotty, I bought a new AC compressor for 87 Toyota, the compressor does not
come with a manifold, the old manifold is all corroded and pitted so is not
usable , I have done a lot search on the net to find a new manifold but
looks like no body carries it, what to do ? any suggestions
rax188: You don't want to use pag oil! Its hydroscopic and absorbs moisture! You
have to use mineral oil, leaned that in my havoc class
roon demahom: Excellent presentation. Explanation very short & sharp & straight to the
point. Easy to understood theory & practical. I liked your way of tutorial,
slow & calm. Double thumbs up to you & a big thank you for your very useful
info & tips. You are one of Professor Genius Sir David Einstein of modern
advanced of mechanical engineering. (:-)
Rider Chamblizi: hey scotty i just brought a new ignition switch its a 4 post and my
original was 3 post. i hooked it up as shown before and woke up this
morning with a dead battery.... why did that happen?
UGotMalk: but i dont understand..when you took that off why didnt the freon leak out?
Mike Petrowski: AC Refrigerant Certificate or License, is required here to purchase
refrigerant, the old refrigerant must be recycled (expensive machine). The
little pressured bottles found in auto part stores are they a solution? I
am hesitant putting anything in my AC system.
havocmia: Have a slow leak on my mazda myself 99 626 I put more freon in it but now 3
months later its starting to blow hot air on and off while I am driving. Is
the condenser located in the same place as the toyota you fixed? I want to
check mine to see if its the same problem.
smithraymond09029: The vacuum pump was attached to what part of the AC system again?
sicknessjb: Scott, What leak detection kit are you using? Brand wise...
Scotty Kilmer: just replace the hose then, they just bolt off and on. then you evacuate
the system and fill it up. If you like my car help, be sure to watch my

Scotty Kilmer: the compressor and hoses are common

with the small can. If you like my car help, be sure to watch my live car

israel11892: Hey scotty i want to work on ac systems..what must a complete ac kit(tools)
do i need? Can u plz guide me?
Scotty Kilmer: no one really fixes em, they just replace em. Chinese made ones are cheap
enough, but it's a big deal replacing it. Do that, or live without Ac which
Scotty Kilmer: @johnkor some places you do, some you don't. Here in Texas, anyone can buy
R134a, it's sold in stores, even wallmart.
moofushu: Scotty how much uv leak dye do we put into the system? Also, where is that
graveyard located? That's the coolest thing I've ever seen!
neovirtuality: Great video!
johnkor: how to convert from R 134 to works on R 12 any hints ?
Scotty Kilmer: @TheKnifedge many things can make em do that. Start by having the battery
and alternator load tested, places like auto zone do that. Pray it's just
one of those
joselucero1984: Hey scotty i got an 01 mitsubishi eclipse spyder gt with a leak in the high
line th leaks green oil from it this happened when i put in r134 ac gas
from autozone. The compressor was inactive before but arted when i
recharged ac now the high line is leaking is there a video on that ? Whats
the next move. Thank you .
bubu8947: Dont you need a licence to buy the refrigerant?
WSmart1: @Davidmex10 Sounds like a heater core leak. From what I understand if you
don't change your coolant regularly it can cause corrosion and that might
lead to this kind of damage. But a leaks a leak at this point. Probably
take Scotty five minutes to repair, but for the rest us maybe two weeks. Be
real, be sober.
Rider Chamblizi: @scottykilmer they stop producing them but i am going to add a rocker panel
box in my ranchero so it does not really matter i am going to have controls
for everything once i add a nice custom council in the center in my
Scotty Kilmer: I've seen some guys try, but most failed. Realize everything is made in
china these days and often new ones are 100 bucks or so
razz: Hey Scotty, my AC has been out of service for 3 years, because according to
the dealership it has a leaking condenser. I have not bothered to fix it
due to the cost, does a leaking condenser leak air into the AC system
further causing damage? Also any ides where to buy a UV Dye Kit here in
Canada? Thank, great videos.
Scotty Kilmer: @michaelalanlee It's already warm here in Texas, that's why i was fixing an
ac system already.
Scotty Kilmer: hissing is often vacuum leaks inside the dash so the ac blend doors don't
work right. Get inside there and check that hiss out
gerabigboy: what could i do when my ac only turns when i put it on 2
WSmart1: @scottykilmer If you ask me that was an internal conflict of the fascist
state of denial, and to an honest man here or there, it's six, one half or
the other. Beer is queer. Be real, be sober.
Troy Morales: i had my ac system pumped up at the low side port and u could hear air
leaking from compressor near the clutch ..do i have to replace clutch and
bearing or the whole compressor???
bjbenbj: hey scotty, i have a 98 taho and one of the problems is the front ac doesnt
always blow , and when it does blow its never cold. could it be my blower
motor is bad?
Scotty Kilmer: @serchmarc who knows, go to embudo new mexico and offer the guy a price.
Place is pretty much abandoned most of the time.
okc405sfinest: Car acs are the terrible terrible extremely expensive exteremely work
Donald4177: Installed new ac in 78 vette lots of seals left did I forget any has leak
now but can't find it with the dye. How many seals at each connection. And
how do they fit on?
Scotty Kilmer: @suddnstar na, just put in 80 percent load and 4 ounces or so of PAG oil in
Scotty Kilmer: pray just the gasket where it bolts to the compressor needs replacing
Scotty Kilmer: probably more than one problem. not blowing is often a bad motor, BUT it
would blow cold when it did unless the AC also had a problem like low
iLikeMyChainsaw: Hey Scotty, My van's ac has been working awesome for a long time until
recently when it didn't. It was 18 psi on the low side with compressor
running. I added 18 oz. (max charge is 56 oz) and that got it up to about
35 psi low side at and it started getting cool, but not cold. I didn't have
time to go back to the store to get another can. I then went driving up in
the mountains and the condenser burst, was it just old and done for or do
you think i have another problem?
safenders: that's what I thought. thanks for your honesty.
safenders: I wish but the cost in gas would be too much.
Scotty Kilmer: fix the leaks where the noise is coming from first.
Scotty Kilmer: sealers are generally dangerous, they clog up ac systems. find and fix a
Scotty Kilmer: @Skagen300z it's flare time, only dealers sell the whole expensive entire
Eric Lazo: I have a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo V6 LS vehicle. I'm having problems about the AC
compressor, I am not sure whether there is a problem but the nut with the
allen screw on the center makes the refrigerant leak. When I turn the
vehicle on, w/o turning on the AC It runs fine, but when I turn on the AC,
the RPM would go up and down and sometimes the engine DIES. There is a leak
coming from the AC compressor because I hear a hissing noise coming out
from the nut. Any suggestions? Thank you very much Sir.
503JDM: Hi Scotty, great videos. Anyways i have a question...my cars ac blows warm
air i refilled it with freon two days ago...still blows warm today i
checked the pressure and its the same as i refilled it (45) what could be
the problem? Thanks.
Chef de NYC: Thanks! I'm more info ultrasound type of work. I learn most of the stuff myself online. Just only recently start looking for a school to make things "official". Hehe
