Rizwan Naseem: Hi, could you please tell me that my phone is keeping flashing the Samsung
logo but does not turn on. it goes on the download mode and connects to
odin but still does work. i dont know where to download pda or pit files.
help me please.
Ali - H: help me plz my phone wont even turn on even if i want to go to recovery
mode or download mode what do i need to do?
Gavin Kimpson: i'd like to try this but only have 3e recovery mode... can anyone explain
how to downgrade to 2e? thanks
thedonald19: Thanks for the vid man. You made the scary process of flashing a kernel
your the first time seem not nearly as formidable.
psg1504: Hi, thanks for your tutorials, they have helped me immensely since I bought
my Galaxy s. Please could you recommend a kernel to use with Darky rom v10
(gingerbread) that will support backlight notification? I tried to apply
the suggested kernel on the BLN thread on XDA but it froze my phone at the
boot screen, couldn't even get into recovery, in the end I had to reinstall
everything from scratch so I'm reluctant to try again. Any advice would be
very much appreciated. Thanks.
RyuZebian: There is a kernel included with CM as far as I know, I didn't have to
bother with it when I flashed CM7 to my ZTE Blade! :) I'm pretty nooby as
well, but that's my experience...
webz2k: I did this from stock firmware which is 3e. Yes you do need 2e or CWM
recovery which is a more full featured version of recovery 2e which is what
this kernel has and is the reason i use it. To put your phone into download
mode hold volume down + home key + powerbutton all at the same time and
keep them held down. Follow this video exactly and then follow my flash a
rom video and you will have darkyy's rom. Any more questions dont be afraid
webz2k: @gavck The sppedmod kernel comes with something called CWM recovery (Clock
work mod recovery) which is a more advanced version of recovery 2e. You
dont need to have 2e already installed to do this, as this video is showing
you how to get it. I made this video on my friends stock galaxy s i9000
with recovery 3e. Hope that helps.
Dexter David: hey i did this the odin says reset n my phone is not starting up please
Sam Ahad: @iLYK2PWN *nooby lol
livedoedoe1: If you have flash this kernel (speedmode), what is being better on your
device? What is speedmode? your device will run faster? Please answer.
jason southgate: Hi great video, I have the SGS running Froyo.XXJPY in recovery mode I have
3e I've read that it needs to be 2e but i'm not sure how to get it. Is your
phone running 2 or 3e? I'm trying to get Darky's rom but need to get passed
this first problem. Very new to this please help. Thx
travisray96: Im rooting my Samsung Galaxy Proclaim it says i have to flash the stock
kernel to it like it would be restoring it i have no idea what it means by
that im new to the root community.
Edward Massey: My SGS is running FROYOADJP3, does this mean I can't use the kernels or
webz2k: @WuckHunter as long as you have an international version of the galaxy s
i9000 and not like an i9000M and you are on froyo you will be fine to flash
jason southgate: How do you get the phone into download mode?
pjdq811: hi.. liked the vid.. have a question though, i'm running 2.2 jpe and i was
wondering would it be safe for me to go through your instructions? kinda
new myself.. thanks..
webz2k: @pjdq8 Yes you can follow my instructions on here for 2.2 absoloutley fine.
HonxOfficial: Thanks for video :)
MrBThatsMe: Hey sorry to be a dummy but I've rooted my Galaxy S 3 and would like to
install say, CyanogenMod 9. What is a kernel and do I need to install a
custom one as well as CM9? I'm still trying to understand what the
differences are. Thanks
ali khuram ijaz: thank you very much you helped me alot
Sam Ahad: @webz2k sorry for the booby question but does changing the kernel root the
phone, and how would I root a 2.3.4 version running XXJVQ?
fifafreak1234: How can I get rid of the kernel?
Joma0621: Worked For me Thanks :D
Cert: Building stuff is always in my family gene. My dad is a new york auto technician and taught me everything I need to know about cars. Now I sell car parts online to suppliment my income. So it does help when there's good guidance.
