ZombieWagon911: Mine has an error when flashing cm10.1
dbjb40: I have a question. So I installed everything and have CM10 running on my kindle. I want to put some music on it, but when I plug it up, the drivers will not install. Did I do something wrong?
Francis MBITA: Hi Tomsgt123, I would like to know if I could install This on my Kindle Fire Version 10.4.3 which is not rooted yet... I already have this on my phone Samsung Infuse 4G.
Tomsgt123: glad I could help and thanks for the comments
Daniel Boyd: Tomsgt123, I want to thank you for your tutorials. I almost forgot to come back on and comment since I've been having so much fun with JB 4.2.2. I'm fully converted as of a few days ago and I'm loving it. I keep correcting myself...it's no longer a Kindle Fire...it's an Android Tablet. thank you buddy,
Danny Rochester: i got it fixed thx
Tomsgt123: you installed the wrong gapps. you need the gapps that match the rom
Danny Rochester: mine worked but i have no key board says will not open. not sure what happened but im wiping clean and going to try a different cm10.1 date
Daniel Boyd: Tomsgt123, I'm not sure what I did but somehow I was able to get twrp v220.127.116.11 (i think) on my KF and like you said, the recovery worked!!! My system version for my kindle is 6.3.2 and i think that's what most of my issues and errors were (in addition to twrp 2.6). it seems pretty stock again but I trust you so I'm ready to root it all over again.and hopefully get CM10.1!!! do you have specific instructions for KF 6.3.2 so I don't screw up again? BTW, thank you! thank you! thank you!!!!
Daniel Boyd: Here's the latest error:

gkaram01: Is there any way to retrieve Apps purchased in Go Launcher in this version of Jelly Bean? i.e. not purchase them twice
Tomsgt123: in your file explorer on your computer go to file and turn on show file extensions then change the name and it will change to a zip
Daniel Boyd: fire fire fire and twrp actually booted but i get a fail error when i try to start from the backed up file. not sure what went wrong with the back up that it will not load it. are you able to send me the zip file for the stock kindle rom? i downloaded the file you mentioned to get stock kindle back but when i tried to change file type to zip, it didn't actually change the file type at all, just the renamed it. please let me know & thanks for all your help.
Kuan Shu: Thank you i followed your tutorial and succeed!
Tomsgt123: the same but CM10 has more options
gkaram01: Any difference between this Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and the one shown in the "How to install Jelly Bean 4.2.2 AOSP on the Kindle Fire" video?
Rasengan0101: I can find them on the device, all of the files are still there, but I do not know how to get the files to register onto the device after installing cyanogen. I still want cyanogen/android, but I also want all of my books, apps, etc... especially my pokemon white 2 save/rom.
Tomsgt123: if you want your files back you can do restore the nandroid you made of your device before you installed the rom. or use a file explorer and see if you can find them on the device
Tomsgt123: I would try installing twrp again with the KFU tool
Rasengan0101: is there a way to get all of my stuff from before i installed back? I mean, I want Android, but I also want all of my old files.
Daniel Boyd: it sticks on the teamwin screen and will not allow me to do a restore
Daniel Boyd: *the ROM
Daniel Boyd: let me clarify...I wiped the 4 sections that were mentioned in your tutorial before flashing three ROM. nothing else was wiped
Daniel Boyd: No sir. I did not wipe the SDcard in twrp before flashing the rom.
Tomsgt123: did you wipe the SDcard in twrp before flashing the rom?
Daniel Boyd: Tomsgt123, i was having a blast with my Kindle Fire after i used your tutorial to root and add twrp and fire fire fire. I tried to install CM 10.1 tonight and my KF is stuck on the Cyanogen boot screen and has been for hours. I tried to reboot into recovery and it sticks on the twrp boot. Please help me sir. Please

Randy Martinez: CM is stuck at the boot screen and is spinning infinitely, what should I do
Jrunri: Can you do one for dual booting to both the original Kindle OS and a Jelly Bean 4.2?
Russ Petruzzelli: Mine did this (with the default OS). A long (about 5-10 seconds) press to hard power off the device fixed it for me. (Keep holding the power off button until the screen resets.)
nicholas rosario: is this rom compatible with the fire hd?
eli7stone: Just just tried it on my KF and it worked perfectly. However is there a fix for the boot animation. I disabled it but it would be quite nice to have it working though. Thanks bro
aztdaniel: The backup appears to stuck on Updating partition details... It looks like the backup happened as it has given me the total MB it backed up. Any ideas? Is it safe to reboot this thing?
Zachary Cannon: I screwed up my kindle... I wiped everything and then when I went to my backups, they were gone... also my goomanager file I downloaded was also gone.. what can I do now?
mydeadheroesdotcom: What theme is that on AOSP when you first fire your kindle up? Great site/videos! Thanks.
assailant47: hey quick question i did an instal of cm10.1 with twrp and it loads up fine now but my keyboard is really buggy like trying to type pushes 15 different keys any ideas?
itzihuariquintero: The Bluetooth won't work :/
keston david: Why Isnt There Any Camera Option On The Jelly Bean Rom ?
Christopher Morris: I did this to my daughter's OG Kindle Fire about 2 weeks ago. I can tell you that this made her obsolete 2.3.3 Kindle Fire grandma tablet into a whole new tablet. It's faster and more advanced now than it ever has been. It finally can run all the real apps she's been wanting and watching me run for the past two years. She's in love with her tablet all over again. I highly recommend doing this before you just ditch that old Kindle Fire.

Orlando Flora: If you can't speak English, learn, then come back and try again.
