Theresa Roberson: DO the straws work better than making one from cardboard?
Shai Ben-Naphtali: Mate, thanks for sharing! Great video. At the end, when you place the
honeycomb on the table, it looks like you placed a glass/plastic over the
straws ... what's that? @ 6:55
HeySlowPokes: That is ingenious, thanks for showing us how to do it.
I want to make the same thing but with straws about 2cm in diameter.
My project is to make something to hide from view, an air conditioner vent.
I was thinking to get expanded aluminium, which comes compressed and one
opens it up oneself; could be hard.
Where could I get some things like 2cm diameter drinking straws type of
Aris Amir: Thank's for sharing

cameron pollock: Yeah for the video i hunted round all my local shops and pubs looking and

cameron pollock: thats exactly what it does do its a difference in how the light falls on a
subject and how soft or harsh the shadows are, just another tool to have at
the ready, i think the sample pics show it really well.
cameron pollock: Glad it was of some help
cameron pollock: not sure if thats a good thing or not?
7ano0osha: GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS A LOT!
cameron pollock: they are great i have actually started to sell them for a small fee.
photographerjonathan: so what does the honeycomb do as far as shaping the light, i wish you
showed some photo samples
AshtonPhoto: I'll not interrupt this video for a pound.
400txuser: To be honest, only black straws will function as an actual grid and have
far less spill. White ones will be more like a snooted diffuser I think.
The stretchy thing is actually a very good idea! I used a sock to hold the
grids in place. I think the stretchy thing is better.
cameron pollock: Glad you liked it.
cameron pollock: Cheers Mike, check out the other DIY videos i have on photography.
cameron pollock: Nothing it was in reference to blue peter, almost everything that was made
was made with a toilet roll.
Capt. Fantastard: That's a great idea. Good video mate, nice to see an easy to follow 'how
