Mike Madal: I followed your design to the tee and it came out perfect. One thing I'm
unsure of- did you glue the carpet to the foam as well as the sides? I
glued the foam to the wood and the carpet to the foam, tomorrow I will glue
the sides. Thanks for sharing this, its certainly the best design I found.
Giving it to my daughter for Christmas.
Lexi Ulloa: Could you make a beam with a full piece of wood?
dannielle killilea-scholz: I'm a coach with a 10 yr old daughter on team who doesn't stop! Watched
your video and I'm determined to have my husband make this.....lol.
There's one thing you forgot to add to the supply list...... how many
beers does it take thru out the project? Started with a Killian and ended
with a 6+ pack on the bench at the end.....I just need to know so I keep my
husband well stocked on supplies....lol!

ogrish128: Why man cant do balance beam?

you glued the carpet to the top (on the padding) like you did for the
sides? Also, once the one side is glued and sits overnight, can you go
ahead and staple the bottoms and ends right after gluing the remaining
side, or should you wait for the glue to settle on the second side before

SaturdayNightSunday1: My d is making me this
FatTire75: A hand saw would work fine, might take a little longer but should work
okay. I used to do everything with a hand held circular saw and drill
before I bought some big tools. Thanks for watching.
Jaz Stringer: THAT WAS AMAZING !!
FatTire75: The one your dad made looks great and you are very good on it. Glad I was
able to help and I will show my granddaughter your video.
FatTire75: there is no pad on the sides and total thickness of carpet on both sides
Heidi Rosenberg: Well make one for Taylor im 13 and i made one out of pvc pipe take 2 2" pvc
make it 3-4 feet high take 2 2" elbows & 2 2" tees. Cut them to the height
2 bars going up then 1 across that she will hold on to connect with the
elbows, then connect the tees to the 2 upright postitions and have 4 2 on
each side 3' legs per side for stability.
Asja Beene: make a gymnastics bar!

SaturdayNightSunday1: My dad is making me this
Kay T: hey, i'm gonna use your plans to do an outdoor balance beam for an obstacle
course. but its going be all wood. and I'll just use a long 12ft 4x4 for
the beam and use some 6x6 for the supports but instead of 2 supports i'll
use 3. Anyways, how about doing some outdoor obstacle equipt? balance beam,
monkey bars, dipping bar, push sled, etc. Just an idea. Have you done any
of these before?
FatTire75: i hope to start on it soon, i don't have any heat in my shop and we just
got 15" of snow today. so hopefully in a week or two.
